Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Young and the Restless, a lot of surprises came out of the trip to the French Riviera, but one change of interest was what was happening back home. With everyone away, Cole died, and Victoria didn’t have her usual support team around. Surprisingly, Adam of all people rose to the occasion — without even being asked. Maybe it’s his overwhelming need to please Daddy-O, or is there something else going on? Since the shooting in the new but original ranch house replica with Ian Ward, Adam seems to have been scared straight. First ,he was talking to Nick in the car about wanting to be part of the family…and now…it seems…he’s showing it? After so many years of Adam going out of his way to be the black sheep that no one could count on, has Adam actually turned a new leaf? He is no Nick, but when Victoria needed a brother, Adam was there. And Chelsea, meanwhile, took Claire under her wing. Sure, we’ve seen some comforting BFF moments between Chelsea and Chloe, but this seemed different as well. Have the ranch outcasts finally become the ones you’d drop by and say hi or ask for a cup of sugar? While it’s hard to believe Adam could sustain his good guy routine for long (read: choices tomorrow could change everything), we gotta admit this side of him isn’t so bad to see.
