Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Young and the Restless, Nick and Sharon are a lot of things, but discreet is not one of them. The super non-duo decided to split up and hit two targets at once, with Sharon going for Phyllis, and Nick taking on Cane. We’re not sure if Cane found it as entertaining as the rest of us, but Nick’s got about as much experience being a sleuth for information as Chance…who, by the way, has been missing since Cane confided in him that he thinks someone was going to try to kill him. Of course, we weren’t sure if he needed Chance’s help in pre-finding the killer and thwarting the plot or if he was there to make an arrest outside of his jurisdiction. Presumably, Chance didn’t know either, and he’s been in his train car ever since, pondering. Anyway, Nick spent the entire conversation with Cane dropping keywords like how they had no wifi or way home, and how Cane has his eye on Chancellor. Way to catch Cane off guard, Nick. Meanwhile, Sharon was trying to be…coy? Tricky? Smooth? We really have no idea. But Nick had asked for her help in getting Phyllis to forget how his family treats her like crapola and join them in defeating Cane. (Granted, they're worried about Cane taking over their privately owned company, but still.) Sharon sauntered over to her former foe and thought she’d drop some hints. “So you’re taking Cane’s side?” Sharon blurted out. And just like that, Phyllis knew that Nick sent Sharon, and the conversation led nowhere. Maybe stick to counseling or serving coffee, Sharon, and leave getting the real dirt up to Esther.
