Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Aristotle Dumas made his grand debut after six-ish months of anticipation. As predicted in 2024, he is…drumroll somewhere…Cane Ashby. He just looks different, and his voice lacks an Australian accent, so even Lily didn’t recognize him until he got up and walked over to be in front of her face. Unsurprisingly, Lily wasn’t happy to see him, and didn’t even connect the dots that Cane was Aristotle until he spelled it out for her. But then, he had to make his entrance at the cocktail party in the middle of the maze. And instead of gasps and hollering, there were blank stares and silence. Until Billy sighed heavily as if the sight of Cane was a mere annoyance rather than wonder as to what he was doing there. “Cane. <sigh> What do you want?” he said. It couldn’t have been more fitting, really. Except, then Victor did what he does best, and took control of the situation. He introduced Cane as if he was the only one who knew his name, then implied he’d known all along it was him. And now, as much as Cane, Victor has some explaining to do, starting with why he hasn’t mentioned to anyone, even Nikki, of his suspicions. And if he figured it out it was Cane, they why is he asking what Cane wants from everyone — you’d think that would have been part of his deductions, no?
