Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Victor’s got the situation in the French Riviera under control, supposedly. But for a guy who knows everything, he sure has a lot of questions. And now we have questions. Starting with, why are he and Nikki claiming that Katherine would not want Cane running Chancellor? She literally put it in her will that she did, in fact, want Cane running the company. Except at the time, Victor had controlling interest (or was somehow in control; honestly, I don’t remember that detail), but at any rate, he made it clear that he didn’t want Cane around, and so he ultimately quit. During their conversation, Victor spoke on behalf of the whole city and told Cane that he wouldn’t be welcome back in Genoa City…you know, where his kids are from. But he also spoke up for Cane hurting Lily. If Victor’s so concerned about her, why not mention to her beforehand that he’d figured out that Aristotle Dumas was Cane? My guess is that he actually didn’t know, but I could be wrong. Maybe. But then Victor scolded Cane for pretending once to be dead — a crime (or, misdeed in Genoa City) that Victor has probably done more than anyone. Not that it was okay for Cane to do it, either, but of all the things he could have complained about, that one was probably not his best look.
