Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Sally Spectra made a grand re-entrance today. We knew she had it in her, but that strong-willed scrappy version of the entrepreneur gave us a scare recently when she ditched her stellar position at Marchetti to go to work with her boyfriend instead. And not just any boyfriend, but the one that no one in town thought had any grit, knowledge, or talent. In fact, almost everyone thought he was a loose cannon with a long trail of lost opportunities in his wake. All but one: Phyllis. But what did Phyllis’ support get her? Fired a couple of times and ostracized. So, for Sally to give up her seemingly flourishing career to go work with Billy, especially on the same day that Chelsea did the exact same thing (and would become her competition at Newman Media), it made zero sense to any of us. Sally even lectured Chelsea about her choices when she should have been saying her words to herself. Not much has happened since she quit: Abbott Communications still hasn’t launched, Billy’s been secretly in communication with Aristotle Dumas, he had his eye on getting revenge and Chancellor back, and didn’t tell Sally any of that on his own accord. Just when we regretted Sally even being on the trip to France with Billy, she adjusted her crown and showed her boyfriend who he was messing with. Sally demanded that if Billy was going to run off chasing Chancellor rainbows with his pseudo-once-half-brother Cane, then she wanted some guarantees in writing about her future. Billy asked if it was a dealbreaker if he didn’t comply. Sally laid her iron fist in a velvet glove on his thigh, looked him in the eye, and growled, “You better believe it is.” Sally’s back — finally!
