Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Young and the Restless, Holden showed a testy side today. Anyone else get the feeling we’re only scratching the surface with his real character? Holden Novak has been a bit of a mystery since we first met him in L.A. when Nate thought Holden was Damian. But since then, he’s shown us various sides of his character, and it’s only getting more interesting. First, he played himself off as cool but dubious, pretending to be Damian at a business meeting. Then, he was kind-hearted, empathizing with Amy’s situation and suggesting in conversations that he thought Damian should show his mom some grace. But then we saw him hanging out at the bar drinking James Bond’s Vesper cocktails, and suddenly Holden had some game. Flirting with Claire, he was suave, gentlemanly, and had just a touch of bad boy to pique our interest. He didn’t stand down to Kyle at all when he came upon him being just forward enough with his girlfriend. But now, he’s made it clear to Nate and Audra that she was the one who got away, and he wants to remedy that situation. Even Sally can tell across a room that Holden’s into her best friend. Today, however, we saw a darker version of Holden. He was taken aback finding Audra sparring with Kyle, and the sexual innuendos she was dropping weren’t lost on Mr. Novak — and he didn’t like it. Is Holden doing more than holding a torch for an old flame? Should Audra be worried about how much he thinks about getting her back? It seems like we’re just starting to see sides of Holden that we’re not too sure about anymore.
