Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Amanda’s back, and she’s a force no one knew they needed to reckon with. So what gives with her and Aristotle? Amanda’s the gatekeeper and the messenger, and you know what they say about that. But how are all of these people connected, and they don’t know it? Hiring Amanda would make sense, as she knows all the people that Dumas is focused on in Genoa City. But for him to know that means he’s been around a while — or has known all of them a while. Did he know that Damian was Nate’s half-brother when he hired him? Seems like a really odd coincidence if not. But if he knew, then how? Or are Devon’s spidey-senses what we should be paying attention to? Things were just starting to seem like pieces were coming together, but now some don’t fit. While it’s possible that Dumas would have more than one lawyer, Amanda is a pretty distinct choice, and apparently close enough to Dumas that people running his companies should know her. Does Damian actually know more than he’s letting on — or worse, does Amy? Is the mother/son reunion between Amy and Damian all just an act, and part of the Dumas connection? Devon’s a straight shooter, and his raised eyebrow seems like something we should take note of. While it might be a clue or just a distraction, at least we can rule out Devon as being Aristotle.
