Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless today, romance was in the air for our favorite long-term couples. Well, in an off-and-on sense, that is. Maybe we should call them long-ish term. But technicalities aside, it’s always a lovely pause when Jack and Victor take a moment from their corporate wars to shower the women they love with praise and affection. As for Michael…well, he was still in the doghouse with Lauren, so he didn’t launch right into gratitude with his gestures. But rightfully so. Lauren’s been playing second fiddle to Michael’s desire for Victor’s approval for quite a while now. Watching Michael try to charm Lauren with different tactics would have been comical had she not ripped him a new one in front of us, but it worked. Michael had to keep upping the ante to get Lauren’s confidence, and finally, he hit gold: all he had to do was break up with Victor. But can he actually do it? Or will Victor find a way to keep Michael where he wants him: under his thumb. Michael’s playing a dangerous game right now. Yes, the one where he’s a double agent for both Victor and Jack, but he’s not paying attention to the hole he’s digging himself in the meantime. Michael’s promising Lauren things he won’t be able to follow through on, and it might cost him more than he could ever imagine.
