The Young and the Restless' Daily YAPP Recap, May 22: Lily's missed opportunity with Damian and Aristotle Dumas

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless today, Lily’s getting soft around Damian. She totally missed the most perfect opportunity to channel her inner Phyllis and get straight to Dumas. Instead, she waffled around her feelings and spent her working day hanging out with Damian. Now, granted, Lily is used to dining alone and getting interrupted by people she doesn’t want to talk to. But today, while willingly breaking bread with her friend-without-benefits-yet Damian, she missed her chance for what she’s been working so hard to get: a direct channel to Aristotle Dumas. While they were talking about themselves, Damian left Lily at the table to walk a few steps away to call his boss from his mobile phone and suggest he had an inroad to spying from within the walls of Winters. Dumas shot it down, saying he didn’t need a spy because he wasn’t after the Winters clan. But just because the mysterious billionaire doesn’t see Lily as the enemy, doesn’t mean Lily has given up on talking to the guy. And certainly Devon is interested. When Phyllis knew Billy had Dumas’ number, she stole his phone to get it. But Lily hasn’t even thought of that, much less made a move — and Damian seemingly has Aristotle’s direct line, not just the phone number to his gatekeeper or an assistant. Oops. Maybe Lily just isn't devious enough for her own good.
