Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Young and the Restless, the long-awaited festivities began for Nikki’s party. As the guests arrived, everyone was astounded by the decorating and transformation of the Neil Winters Jazz Club into a room that represented Nikki’s favorite colors with “grace and elegance.” The woman of the hour arrived, and all cheered. After a week of daily gifts, Victor outdid himself by giving Nikki a rare Ferrari. But all of that was nothing compared to the real show stealer that night: Aristotle Dumas’ hand-delivered invitations. If you’ve read the book or seen the movie, The Count of Monte Cristo, this move wouldn’t come as a surprise (I’ve done neither, but so I’ve heard). But what does have us wondering is the guest list — and the courier. Individual invitations were dropped off at the ranch for Victor, Nikki, Nick, and Victoria. Yet Victoria was given Lauren and Michael’s at the club to give to them. At the Abbotts, Jack and Diane each got one. And then Damian and Lily were handed theirs at the club. Which obviously begs the question, how and why Lily would get hers there when she has a home address. Maybe she’s been seen eating alone so many times, the delivery guy even knew she’d be there or Society at a table for one. I wish it meant they were headed out for a full-cast location shoot in France, but I’m going to guess we will be spending Friday the 13th on set…which is fine with me if, as Victor would call him, “this Dumas character, or whatever,” will finally be revealed.
