Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Adam is back! Okay, so he never really went anywhere, but he actually had a conversation outside of Victor, Sally, and Chelsea. And it reminded us of all the glorious ways that Adam can be entertaining. Adam actually is quite witty, he’s not exactly ruthless in all scenarios, and he’s not afraid of Victor…well, not 24/7. As he put it, he likes all ten of his fingers to be intact, so he doesn’t poke the bear too much, but he has a side to him that I think we may have only just tapped into. I’ll never go so far as to say that Adam has changed — a phrase way too overused and always makes me think of another: “I don’t think that means what you think it means” — but the guy has some layers. When Victor got shot and Adam was thinking about family and how he could try harder to be part of his own, I thought it would be short-lived. But here he is today, throwing Claire and Kyle a bone on their quest to find a home. He listened, gave some solid advice, and then let them be adults, all sprinkled with a little wit and sarcasm. Here’s hoping we see more of that guy — maybe it’ll explain the appeal that Sally and Chelsea are always insisting exists. It’s (long overdue) time to branch Adam out to interact with others and remember how much of a character he can truly be.
