Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, maybe Chelsea and Kyle should consider having a run at a friendship. They could be in awe of life when everything they knew would happen unfolds exactly as they predicted. Chelsea threw away her career, she’s spent years building on a whim, apparently. She rushed so quickly into the decision that she didn’t even give two weeks' notice, just quit on the spot without so much as a word to Chloe, her BFF and partner-turned-coworker. All on the premise that “Adam’s changed” and she told him not to be Victor’s puppet or else. Huh? That’s…not…going to work. If she doesn’t believe us, she could easily flip through the photo album and be reminded of all the stages of her Newman-related life where Victor interfered or manipulated her situation. And that’s not even getting into Adam’s patterns. Meanwhile, Kyle was stunned today when he found out that Victor wasn’t happy that he and Claire were going to move in together. “Is this real life? Is this really happening?” he cried. Did he miss the memo? He’s spent months scoffing at the thought that Victor scared him, but when he found out that grandaddy knew what he was doing with his granddaughter, Kyle freaked out. Why? Kyle knew what he’d do and say, and he did exactly that. It took a nanosecond for Abbot Jr. to lose his bravado where TGVN was concerned.
