Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

There were so many candidates for today's Y.A.P.P. We raised an eyebrow as to why Jill (Jess Walton) would block Audra's (Zuleyka Silver) hiring. Also, Silver gave a tour de force as Audra blasted Holden (Nathan Owens) for "spilling his guts" to Claire (Hayley Erin). But given Victor (Eric Braeden) and Cane's (Billy Flynn) showdown over the use of the AI (Artificial Intelligence) program, we're going with that. For months, there's been this threat hanging over everyone on The Young and the Restless about the AI program being used to decimate Newman Enterprises, Jabot Cosmetics, Winters Inc., Chancellor Industries, and probably, Esther's tip jar at Crimson Lights. How Cane using this against the people he knew and, in some cases, worked for would get him what he wanted -- Lily's (Christel Khalil) love and the trust of their kids, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) -- was unclear. It only made sense that they'd hate Cane even more if he were to ruin everyone. Curiously, Cane entered a business deal with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), despite her reputation for being untrustworthy, and he gave her access to the software. Phyllis (surprise! surprise!) betrayed Cane by bringing his technology to Victor. The mustached mogul used the software on Cane, and now he's the one who is going to suffer. Cane said on more than one occasion that "all will be revealed." Welp. Now, it's revealed. It's too bad Cane didn't fork over a few hundred bucks for some anti-virus protection. He might not be in this predicament now. When is Cane going to realize he's been playing with fire, and now, he's the one who is getting burned?
