Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

They say "money can't buy happiness" (whoever "they" are), but it might be able to bring peace of mind. Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) feels horrible about his Artificial Intelligence (AI) software being stolen. It's a software capable of inflicting havoc everywhere, but there's no safeguard in place to keep it from being stolen. Darn it! Cane realized that he's never, ever getting back together with Lily (Christel Khalil) or having a great relationship with his kids, Charlie and Mattie (Noah Alexander Gerry and Lexie Stevenson), unless he fixes this mess. To that end, Cane headed over to the Newman Ranch on The Young and the Restless so he could make a deal with Victor (Eric Braeden), who was having a meeting with Adam (Mark Grossman). Cane will give the mustached mogul $1 billion if he turns over the AI software so that Cane can have the pleasure of destroying it. We thought Kyle's (Michael Mealor) $5 million offer and promise to leave town to Victor if he broke Claire's (Hayley Erin) heart was a bad business deal. What's to stop Victor from copying Cane's AI program and then selling it back to him? Does Cane think before he puts a plan together? He hired Carter (Vincent Stalba) without doing a medical/mental health background check on him. Cane hired a muscle thug to try to keep Nick prisoner in a dirty room, which resulted in Nick nearly dying after he fought for freedom. Cane keeps saying he doesn't mean for anything bad to happen. The man might want to think of having a plan next time. You can't throw money at every problem in life (but you can at most of them).
