Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Cane (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) have had many meetings since they first reconnected in France, but the one that took place in her hotel suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club took their relationship to a new level. Dressed in a sultry purple robe, Phyllis lowered her voice to an extra seductive tone as she and Cane bantered back in forth with one another. She coquettishly teased Cane that she'd never use her sexuality to get his mind off his stolen Artificial Intelligence program. He more or less came out and accused her of lying. This layered cat-and-mouse game continued as we wondered which one of these power players would crack first. Cane and Phyllis held extra eye contact with each other as they dared the other to crack. Cane knew if he outright accused Phyllis of taking the AI software, she'd deny it, and she'd have the upper hand. Conversely, Phyllis was practically daring Cane to come out and accuse her. Once Cane left Phyllis's room, he made a mysterious phone call, telling someone to keep an eye on Phyllis. Conversely, Phyllis texted a mystery person (Amanda, played by Mishael Morgan, we're guessing? Phyllis doesn't have a ton of friends) and said that they needed to talk. The plot thickens! What a great Friday tag!
