Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

On The Young and the Restless, yet again, everyone has turned on Billy before he’s even had a chance to mess up. All the people who know Billy so well (supposedly) never seem to know him at all. Sally wasn’t around for Billy’s gambling days, but being a carnie, she should have known what his past probably means about the way he handles his thoughts. And so should Jack. So when Billy wants to use his poker face and wait a moment to think, what’s the big deal? Couldn’t either of them give him a nanosecond to process the bomb Cane just dropped without judgment or making it worse? As for Sally…she gave Billy an ultimatum and a deadline, then broke both by running around Genoa City blabbing to everyone that there was something to hide. She could have waited, thought it out, come up with a plan with Billy on how to handle it, and then presented it to the appropriate people. But good luck with that now, she’s put the communication into the Abbott. And the Newman. Going to Nick, knowing that it’s a choice between doing something or letting the Newmans have the AI app? Phyllis may have been on point with her description of Sally’s relationship with Billy, but she left one thing out: Billy hasn’t done anything wrong other than ask for everyone to shut up for a minute while he thinks. Sally broke his confidence, turned on him, threatened him, then went straight to the enemy(ies) and showed her hand — and Billy’s.
