Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Kyle just keeps on being Kyle, and I can’t say I’m here for it. I caught some flak last year for calling him the Adam of the Abbotts, but I’m going to double down on that one. Audra’s conniving and manipulative, yes. And Nate probably deserves better, although I’m still on the fence about that one being a good match (when he taps into her sensitivities and she softens, it’s a good thing for both…that, and he’s hardly innocent of wrongdoings himself. But Kyle’s threatening to “destroy her” — while laughable — brings out his sinister side that he used to save for Summer. When he was with Summer, Kyle’s piercing glare and vicious tongue were a little much, even for a bitter custody battle on TV. He’s just too good at it, and a little obsessive. He ran by Audra tonight in the park, and he should’ve kept on moving but instead he stopped for more toxicity and a little dose of “wait, you really wanted me?” shop talk. Kyle doesn’t hate Audra. He’s attracted to her and he hates himself for it…but he also can’t help himself. He should have ignored her, but he just had to go in for some ego stroking and she bruised it instead. Kyle’s turning toxic again, folks. Put away the cardigan Junior, and go have a drink with Adam for some tips. If you’re going back to being a jerk…go all the way in.
