Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless today, Cane Ashby did the wisest thing he could possibly think of (so far, anyway) and recruited Michael Baldwin — and we couldn’t be more pleased about it. Not only does this mean more Michael, but more…Michael. While working for Victor, Michael was his vicious pitbull in the courtroom and on a personal level, but eventually, Victor seemed to want more of a lapdog and less of everything Michael is good at. But Cane knows precisely what to expect from his ex-cellmate, and what he’s capable of. And that is a match made in soapy heaven. The bonus is that no one knows Victor — and his businesses — like Michael. He knows every gritty detail of all of his dirty deals, his behind-the-scenes manipulations, where his weak spots are, his secrets, his strengths, any and all of it. And it could be that we just weren’t made privy to it, but maybe Victor didn’t hold Michael to some sort of clause in his contract that prevented him from using all of that against him. But the smartest move on Cane’s part is that between Amanda, Phyllis, and now Michael, he’s building quite the team. That is, if Lauren lets her husband dive back into fixer territory for a guy she might like even less than Victor.
