On The Young and the Restless, Phyllis, or should I say “Dark Web Phyllis,” goes on a crusade of Corporate espionage, but why, on Public WiFi? Does she want to get caught?
Is Phyllis that far gone on The Young and the Restless?

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wants to be at the table with the big players of Genoa City. She managed to get herself an audience with Cane (Billy Flynn) at his South of France estate and convinced him she could be trusted, and she was all in. Now, Phyllis has stolen Cane’s AI software and has offered her services to the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Many fans feel that Phyllis has gone a step too far on The Young and the Restless, and now that she is doing Victor's bidding and engaging in corporate espionage. This might have been enough for fans to add to the laundry list of red flags that Phyllis is hoisting to say that this lady needs help. This latest detail is being discussed on the Soap Central Message Boards.
Phyllis Doing Her Corporate Espionage on Public Wifi

Board User Y&R25years wrote –– So as Phyllis talks to herself the entire episode (since nobody else wants to) and announces to herself she is now becoming DARK WEB PHYLLIS, she does all her "Computer Genius" actions on a CL wifi on her trusty laptop rather than a controlled area off the grid. On the heels of her pathetic performance yesterday crashing the Danny and Christine parties which might have been a Mt Rushmore Y&R cringe day for a character we now get her emerging from that bonfire as the rising hacker from hell who must think if she wields her stolen AI as a sword for revenge around GC that she will be in some bubble of protection from what that fall out will be.
Board user bluenanny added –– I think when she ended her silly tirade, sitting alone in Sharon's restaurant by saying I will get what I deserve, she's thinking of something different than what will actually happen to her after her illegal hacking and ridiculous plotting, hopefully a jail cell where she can gasp
and hyperventilate that it's all someone else's fault..

Valued Contributor CloverLeaf joined the conversation –– I'm wondering if Phyllis will ever see jail time when this all hits the fan. Obviously, what she's doing is illegal on so many levels, but she keeps thinking she's owed the power she can wield if she uses the program for her own purposes. If Phyllis gets caught, will she still be proud of herself? I can hear the water works now. Will she, once again, end up in front of a judge where she begs for leniency because she has kids who need her? This is just another illegal act committed by a woman who is still on probation. Wow! She could do some hard time if she gets caught with her hand in the AI cookie jar, especially having used it without the consent of the owner.
KurentEweser –– All anyone needs to be secure is to use a VPN.
Bluenanny added –– lol...I felt like taking a marker and drawing a big mustache on her, with both ends curling upward, as she looked around, plotting her stupid illegal schemes... she was a perfect depiction of a mustache-twirling villain...
Board user soccermommy had a valid point –– Anything concerning computers, police work, and medicine falls into the “ it’s a soap” category. Accuracy isn’t necessary, or even appreciated, if it gets in the way of the story. So Phyllis, in a public place, working on whatever she’s doing (hacking Cane’s AI program, probably) while talking to herself is no surprise. The idea of Phyllis controlling said program is both terrifying and hilarious. What I want to know is why she is doing this in a public space frequented by everyone in town. She has a room, right?
What are your thoughts on this comical situation? The Young and the Restless certainly knows how to make us laugh. Has Phyllis gone too far? Does she want to get caught? Or she just wants to be noticed. Leave an idea or comment below and join the discussion.
