This week on The Young and the Restless, Adam failed to convince Nick to help him talk Victor out of forming an alliance with Cane. Victor blackmailed Cane with evidence that Arabesque had been built with a fortune Colin had conned a rich, elderly woman into leaving him in her will. Victor threatened to release the incriminating documents to the press unless Cane agreed to join forces with him against Jabot. Billy hired a private investigator to follow Cane with the intention of acquiring Chancellor himself. Phyllis overheard Cane filming a video to the twins, explaining why he’d become Dumas and apologizing for lying to them. After reflecting back on his final days with a dying Colin, Cane informed Phyllis that he was abandoning his plan to take over Genoa City’s largest companies. Lily fought back tears when watching Cane’s video message to their children. Phyllis shot down Nick’s attempts to fish for information about Cane. A desperate Phyllis offered to do Cane’s dirty work to keep his plan in motion. Billy was suspicious when Cane encouraged him to go after Chancellor. Sally intended to find out what Cane was up to and have Abbott Communications break the story. Cane confided to Amanda that he was plotting a move no one would expect. Kyle finally confessed to Claire that he and Audra had kissed in Nice as part of his plan to trap Audra. Claire was livid that Kyle hadn’t been honest with her sooner, and she walked out on him. Victoria and Nikki urged Claire to give herself time before deciding what to do. Nikki promoted Claire to a junior executive position at Chancellor. Kyle announced to Jack and Diane that he was going to ask Claire to marry him to prove his love for her. Jack worried that Victor was still a threat because of the contract Kyle had signed. Claire agreed to have dinner with Kyle to talk things out. Nate considered whether Kyle had been lying about Audra, but Lily and Devon warned Nate not to give Audra a second chance.
