The Young and the Restless Recap, August 4-8, 2025: Claire lashes out at Victor, Billy confronts Jill, and alliances begin to form

This week on The Young and the Restless, the Newmans attended Cole’s memorial service. In a toast to Cole, Victor stunned his family by insinuating that Kyle would never be considered part of their clan. A furious Claire raged that she’d had enough of Victor’s interference, and she pledged to live her life as she saw fit before she stormed out. Victor reprimanded Adam for failing to trash Billy and Cane in the press. Claire insisted that she and Kyle proceed with their plans to move in together. Audra planted seeds of doubt about Kyle in Claire’s mind. Kyle told Claire about Audra’s attempt to seduce him, but he stopped short of revealing that he and Audra had kissed. Adam turned down Claire’s request to sell his apartment to her and Kyle. Despite Audra’s assurances that she was close to breaking up Kyle and Claire, Victor cut off funding for Vibrante and demanded that Audra pay back the money he’d given her. Sally offered Audra a job at Abbott Communications. Lily learned that Cane had visited Genoa City while making his guests think they’d been trapped in France, and she vowed never to forgive him for Damian and Chance’s deaths. Cane invited Phyllis and Billy to be part of his plan to consolidate all of Genoa City’s major companies into one entity. Phyllis readily jumped on board, but Billy balked when he found out Cane would be targeting Jabot. Cane admitted that he and Jill had reconnected during Colin’s illness. A livid Billy confronted Jill about knowing Aristotle Dumas was Cane and not telling him. Jill was appalled that Billy had called to complain about business and not to console her over Chance’s death. Billy later told Jack about Cane’s plan, and Jack suggested that Billy take the job to take Cane down from the inside. Cane plotted for Phyllis to use her skills to hack into the servers of the companies he was targeting. Victor urged Lily to get close to Cane again to find out more about her ex’s plans. Victor proposed that he and Cane work together to crush the Abbotts. Billy refused to believe Phyllis when she claimed Cane no longer wanted to work with him.
