On the Tuesday, December 2nd episode of The Young and the Restless, Audra confronted Nate, Victor left for Los Angeles, and Cane asked Phyllis to be completely honest with him.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Cane told Phyllis to stop wondering about whose side he was on. He had made up his mind. Phyllis believed that Cane chose the side that Lily urged him to be on, and she assumed he'd chase after her to try and make amends yet again. She thought that Cane's repeated attempts to win Lily back and get rejected were the definition of insanity.
Cane insisted he was ready to move on with his life, and the first step was to offer his company to Victor. Phyllis was surprised by Cane's move and asked how Victor had reacted to the offer. She didn't understand why Cane would give up his billion-dollar empire and hand it over to a rival. She couldn't wrap her mind around Cane coming to Victor with the offer of a lifetime. Phyllis figured Victor had a lecture for Cane before hearing him out, but Cane accepted anything he received as karmic justice.
Cane recalled how he lost his way as he built his massive fortune, and despite his substantial financial success, his family shunned him. He assumed that losing the company would be the first step toward reclaiming his former life. Phyllis worried that Cane would be left with nothing to his name, but he assured her that he would live comfortably. Cane pitched an idea to merge his and Phyllis' mutual talents, which piqued her interest. He told her, "I choose you, which means you don't need Jabot."
She feigned ignorance, and he asked her to put the charade behind them and put all their cards on the table. Cane called her out for taking the AI program to Victor in exchange for being handed JAbot on a silver platter. She continued denying his accusations, despite his having it entirely figured out. Phyllis accused him of putting her through another test, but he remained unfazed. Cane was ready to put the cat-and-mouse game behind them and start on a path of honesty.
Phyllis attempted to maneuver the conversation back to him and Lily, but he had had enough. Cane understood why Phyllis would've taken the program, since he'd treated her poorly. He yanked her around many times, so he wasn't surprised that she did it. Cane was somewhat mesmerized by her ability to bypass the security of his program to snag it. However, Cane believed there was a significant flaw in her plan. Trusting Victor was the biggest mistake Phyllis could've made, and he would never give her what she wanted.
Cane expressed that the constant stream of lies and denials from Phyllis would eventually be the reason he walks away completely. He offered her an opportunity to create something new, together. She appreciated the offer but refused to accept his terms. Cane laid it all out on the table and tried to get her to realize that Victor was the most likely of the two to betray her. Cane needed Phyllis to admit what she did before he would go into business with her.
Phyllis didn't think Cane had anything concrete to present to her. There was nothing he could give her at this time. She didn't trust Cane because he played her for months. He asked what she wanted, so he could make it a reality. Phyllis asked, "Where does Lily fit into all of this?" The question immediately brought the conversation to a screeching halt. Cane admitted he needed to move on from both Lily and the persona he developed. He didn't want her to use his software to steal Jabot from Jack, and he explained that an opportunity to start over existed.
Phyllis told Cane, "I need a platform where I can show and execute my stardom and shine, Brighter than anyone in this town." She asked him to make that happen for her, but he wouldn't give her anything until she admitted the theft. He had one condition, and she finally broke. She agreed to tell him the truth.
Diane was concerned that Jack's plan of action would be too risky. He refused to sit around and do nothing, waiting for Victor to attack him. Although their plan was extreme, they believed it was the most viable option for mitigating any damage caused by Victor and the AI program. They needed to figure out a way to shut down the company and hide the assets from Victor and the software. Diane worried about the optics of doing this. She wasn't sure how the public or the press would react to the sudden stop of all business at Jabot.
Diane asked Jack if he was ready to handle the fallout from carrying out their plan. There was a significant gamble that the company wouldn't recover from this course of action. Pausing company operations was terrifying in its own right, but Victor would decimate the company on a much larger scale, so it was the only way to make it happen. Diane didn't want to be as patient as Jack. She wanted Victor to suffer. Diane believed that Victor should be arrested and that his entire public perception should be shattered. Jack warned her, though, that once they did it, there was no turning back.
Billy dropped by Society and ran into the tail end of a conversation between Sally and Audra. Billy apologized for things not working out between Audra and Abbott Ciommunications, but he insisted that their investor was picky about who could come on board. Sally was still determined to eventually remedy that issue and find a way to hire her close friend. Audra was ready to take off, and despite Billy's insistence that she stay and have a drink, she had alternative plans.
Sally thought Audra had difficulty working through the holiday because of her breakup with Nate. However, it appeared to Sally that Nate had already moved on with someone else. Billy felt for Audra because he understood how lonely it felt ot be an outsider. Sally didn't think this was a first for Audra, which made it even more heartbreaking to witness. Billy defended his decision to warn Sally against hiring Audra because he knew Jill would disapprove, so he wanted to get ahead of the situation.
The couple celebrated Abbott Communications' launch and remained on track. Sally was stunned by Jack's determination to turn the company off to prevent it from being attacked by Victor. Regardless, Billy had his own company to worry about, and Sally was turned on by Billy's newfound sense of focus and dedication. Their good mood didn't last too long because Victor showed up at Society to smile in their faces.
Victor hinted that something could happen to prevent Abbott Communications from getting off the ground. Billy threatened that Newman Media could take a hit from a new power player in the industry. He tried to rattle Victor, but the mustache laughed and walked away.
Jack and Diane arrived at Society, and Victor greeted them with a wide grin. Diane reminded Victor that the attack on Cane's company was a criminal act, and it came with jail time. Victor denied doing anything, and he regarded Jack's assertions as delusional fantasies. Jack wasn't scared of Victor, and he was ready for anything he threw at him and Jabot.
Nate and Victoria bumped into each other at Crimson Lights, and she asked if he would like to join her. Audra ran into the couple after they sat down, and she asked how her former boyfriend's Thanksgiving went. Then, she asked about the Newman Thanksgiving as well, and she reflected on how the holiday was known for being a time of forgiveness. Audra remarked that it was nice to see Nate "friendly with at least one of his exes."
Nate asked Audra how the upcoming launch of Abbott Communications was going, and she touted Sally's vision for the company. Victoria asked how Audra fit into the equation, but Audra evaded the question. Audra tried to continue the conversation, and despite her best efforts, Nate asked her to leave so he could spend time with Victoria. She received a text from Victor requesting her immediate presence at Society, so Vicki abruptly left.
With Victoria gone, Audra made her way back to Nate. Always unafraid to speak her mind, she asked if he and Victoria were romantically involved again. Although he tried to forgive her, she made it impossible for him to do so. He wished things could have gone differently, and she asked for another chance to make things right. No trust existed between them, so there was nothing to return to.
Victoria met up with Victor at Society, and he revealed that he was leaving for Los Angeles. Vicki immediately realized that something was off. She knew Victor was hiding something from everyone about what was happening in California, and she asked if it was something serious. Someone had to remain in Genoa City, so Victoria was that person. She asked her father if everyone was safe, but he avoided the question.
