The Young and the Restless Recap, July 14-18, 2025: Damian is murdered, Chance investigates, and Kyle and Audra kiss

This week on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis turned down Billy’s suggestion that they pool their information about Cane. Phyllis ignored Nick and Sharon’s pleas to steer clear of Cane. Amanda told Lily that Cane would do anything to win Lily back. Several of Cane’s guests got lost in the hedge maze, and Phyllis suspected the maze had been altered. Lily announced that she and Damian were a couple. Cane promised he’d stop pursuing Lily and requested to speak to Damian alone. Damian assured Cane that he would never hurt Lily, and the men shared a bottle of fine bourbon from Cane’s private stash while commiserating over losing their fathers. Cane and Damian began to feel woozy and worried the bourbon might have been drugged. An unseen person lurking in the shadows hurled a dagger at the men, hitting Damian in the back. Phyllis walked in as Damian collapsed in Cane’s arms. Cane pronounced Damian dead. Cane and Phyllis sought help from Chance and Amanda. Chance and Cane returned to the murder scene and found the dagger, bourbon, and drinking glasses missing. Cane identified the dagger as an antique from his own collection. Lily was horrified when she witnessed Cane’s employees carrying Damian’s body away. Cane believed he was the killer’s intended target, and he offered to pay Chance a hefty sum to conduct an investigation. Lily and most of the other guests were convinced Cane had killed Damian, especially when Cane hesitated to contact the authorities. Nick found the bloody dagger in his bathroom and turned it over to Chance. Nick accused Cane of trying to frame him. After defending Cane, Phyllis was taken aback when Nick blasted her for selling her soul to the devil for a job. Cane bristled when Amanda doubted his innocence, but she swore she would give him the best possible defense despite her misgivings. Chance and Cane discovered that the video footage from the maze at the time of Damian’s killing had been deleted. A rattled Audra turned to Kyle for support, upset by how the news of Damian’s death would affect Nate and Amy. Kyle comforted Audra, and they kissed passionately.
