On the Wednesday, May 14th episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor refused to play games with Phyllis, Amy returned home to Genoa City, and Billy and Adam sparred over business.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Phyllis met with Victor in the jazz lounge. She teased him with knowledge about Billy and Aristotle. Phyllis updated Victor on Summer's efforts in Italy to rebuild Marchetti. She added that Victor looked amazing. He asked her if she remembered how much time she had. "Five minutes," Phyllis recalled.
She asked Victor to promise to give her and Daniel a business opportunity before she revealed what she knew. Victor said he enjoyed talking to Phyllis, but he suggested that she knew what she wanted from him, and then, they could talk. Victor told Phyllis she could only reach Aristotle Dumas's "assistant's assistant." Phyllis said she has something she can use against Aristotle. She came to Victor out of loyalty because Victor is Summer's grandfather.
"You're playing me," Victor accused Phyllis of doing after she said she'd go to the highest bidder. Phyllis revealed that she heard things through her work with Billy. She wasn't going to say anything while she worked for Billy but that was no longer the case. Phyllis claimed she quit.
"You quit?" Victor shot back. He shared that he heard Phyllis was fired. "It's a lie," Phyllis lied. Victor told Phyllis that Billy wanted to put Dumas and Newman in competition for control of Chancellor Industries. "You see, Phyllis, I've been playing this damn game for a long time, okay? I know damn well that Billy Abbott will always revert to old form. Get it in your head. He's a loser," Victor stated.
Victor added he didn't need Phyllis or anyone's help, for that matter, to take on Aristotle. He advised her not to blow smoke. Victor added he felt compassion for her, but warned her not to play him. The mogul wished Phyllis the best in her business. He advised her that the next time she came to him, she should bring a plan. "I know what the hell I'm talking about," he declared before leaving the table.
Meanwhile, Billy ran into Adam and Chelsea at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Billy greeted Chelsea, and he told Adam that he knew about Victor's plan to smear him in the press. Adam informed Billy that Victor was always ten steps ahead of him.
Adam and Billy sparred until Adam left to take a phone call. Adam asked Chelsea if she'd be okay alone with Billy. In turn, Billy promised to be a gentleman. Adam quipped that'd be a first.
Chelsea asked Billy if it was exhausting fighting with Adam. She said it was a copout after Billy said Adam makes it tough to co-exist. Billy said this was going to continue as long as Victor was alive. Chelsea said there was no way she was letting Connor get involved in the Newman/Abbott war. She added that for things to end one side has to stop retaliating. Chelsea asked Billy if he could be that person.
Billy thanked Chelsea for thinking he could be the reasonable person in this dynamic. Chelsea claimed that Adam's attacking Billy wasn't his priority. Billy agreed and pointed out that it was Victor. Billy said this was all about painting him poorly in Aristotle's eyes. Chelsea asked why.
Adam rejoined Chelsea and Billy. They recapped for him on what they were talking about. Then, Adam and Chelsea left. Billy sat at the bar and ordered a scotch on the rocks. Victor approached him, calling him "Billy Boy." Victor told Billy that the clock was ticking and wanted to know if Billy had an answer for him. Billy said he didn't care if Victor came after him and that he informed his "Chihuahua" son (Adam) of the same thing.
Victor asked how Jack would feel if Billy failed. Billy maintained he was not going to share with Victor what he knew about Aristotle. Victor told Billy he was making a mistake. Billy said someday he would watch Victor stumble. "Don't count it," Victor replied. Alone, Victor took out his phone and called Adam. He said wanted him to release the Billy Abbott smear campaign.
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea asked Adam if that was Victor ordering the smear tactic. Adam said he'd do it his way. They argued over the encounter with Billy at the GCAC. Chelsea asked what Adam was going to do. He informed her he couldn't do that just yet. Adam maintained he had everything under control. He asked Chelsea to trust him to handle it. "Can you do that for me?" Adam inquired.
Meanwhile, Phyllis called the number she had for Aristotle Dumas. An assistant picked up the phone and asked what Phyllis's call was regarding. Phyllis explained it was a business venture involving Billy Abbott and Victor Newman.
The assistant told Phyllis that he would let Mr. Dumas know she had called. Phyllis persisted, saying she would wait if that were necessary. The assistant held his ground and refused to put his boss on the phone with Phyllis. He hung up the phone on Phyllis. Next, a frustrated Phyllis started talking to herself. She said she was down but not out.
Audra was happy to learn that Damian and Amy were on their way from the airport. She was also glad to learn that Amy was getting good news about her improving health. Audra used the word "cured", but Nate cautioned that doctors don't like to use that word. He did happily share that Amy had bought more time. Audra said she wished for her shopping buddy to be back in her life.
Nate changed the subject and asked Audra if Victor had come through with the financing for her new business venture. She replied, "Soon," pointing out that things take time. Nate shared his feeling that Audra wasn't telling him the whole story. Audra tried to deflect Nate's concerns, but he said that he was fully aware of what Victor was capable of doing. Audra assured Nate that she could handle Victor this time. Nate claimed those were famous last words and that maybe she couldn't handle him. Audra reminded Nate that she had learned a lot from having worked with Tucker McCall. She has made sure that no one can get the better of her again.
Just then, Damian and Amy arrived. Nate welcomed her home. Amy said she couldn't share just how great that word (home) made her feel. Audra warmly welcomed Amy back home. Amy asked how Audra was doing and about her exciting new job. Audra promised to share more over lunch the following day.
Amy shared that she wanted to take a shower. Audrea said she bought her a new robe and slippers. Amy announced she felt better. She reflected on reaching out to Nate over Damian last year. Nate said Audra encouraged Amy to stay positive. Damian asked Amy what his dad always called her. "Negative Nancy," Amy replied. But she said she liked to think of herself more as "Realistic Amy." Amy added it was nice to see everyone laugh. She hoped that Nate and Damian would get close. Nate and Damian joked that they argued about sports.
Audra helped Amy upstairs. "I am so very lucky," Amy said as she and Audra left. Alone with Damian, Nate said he appreciated what he said. Damian stated he was being sincere. Nate said he was glad things were working out with Amy's health. Damian asked his half-brother if there was anything he wanted to get off his chest regarding Damian coming to work with him and his family.
Damian and Nate exchanged heated words. Damian questioned whether Nate trusted him. Nate countered that he was trying to protect his brother. Damian said he belonged with his family at work. Nate shook his hand and welcomed him to the business fold. Amy came down the stairs and was thrilled to hear this news.
Audra queried Nate on how long he had known about Damian's new venture. Nate said it wasn't that long. Amy was thrilled that Damian was getting away from Dumas. There was something about him she didn't like. Audra commented on how far they've all come as Nate has offered Damian a real job, and that Amy was reconnecting with her son. "I could not be happier or feel more blessed," Amy said.
