Nick and Victoria shared some sibling banter outside of Crimson Lights. "No England snow globe for you," Nick teased his sister. He asked for a serious update on Cole. Vicki said he was isolated at the GCAC until he got his hospital test results back. A concerned Nick noted that that didn't sound good.

Victoria said that Cole wouldn't let her or Claire anywhere near her because of his condition. Nick asked Vicki to give Cole his best. Nick added that his son, Noah, wasn't coming home anytime soon, as his club was doing very well. "I miss my boy," Nick revealed, confirming his sister's suspicion. Nick noted that Christian and Faith had a good time on the trip.

Vicki asked if Sharon was able to shake off the trauma from her ordeal with Phyllis while away. Nick said that Sharon was completely present during the trip. "I called it," Vicki interjected. "You two are so getting back together."

Nick lied to Victoria that he and Sharon got secretly married in London. Vicki said she hated falling for Nick's jokes. Nick reminded Victoria that he told her it wasn't going to be a romantic trip. Vicki said she just didn't want her brother to be alone. Victoria noted that Sharon wasn't the worst choice Nick could make and then coughed "Phyllis."

Vicki told her brother that Claire wanted to move in with Kyle. Nick concurred with Vicki that their kids should be off-limits when it comes to Victor's interference. "Only we can interfere with their lives," Nick quipped.

Victoria asked her brother not to say anything to Victor. Nick agreed not to, but he pointed out that their father has a way of finding out things, especially when you don't want him to.

Sharon came in and spotted Victoria and Nicholas. She asked her ex-husband for a moment to speak in private. Victoria left to check up on Cole. Sharon revealed that something was going on with Mariah, but she wouldn't say what happened. Sharon noted that she had her suspicions.

Adam joined Claire and Kyle at the Genoa City Athletic Club. He was surprised to see Kyle there. Adam surmised that Kyle wanted to see him so they could enlist his aid as Victor wasn't on board with Kyle and Claire being together. Claire said the answer to Adam's theory was both yes and no.

Adam quipped it was almost a rite of passage for Victor not to like someone that one of his loved ones is dating. He assured Kyle and Claire that he wasn't wearing a wire, so they could speak freely. Claire shared that she was grateful Victor cared enough to be protective.

Claire said she asked to meet with Adam because he was selling his apartment. Kyle pointed out that he and Claire would buy his place together. Adam pointed out that Victor would lose his mind over this. Claire asked how they could make a deal. It could show Victor that they have Adam's support. He wondered how having his support could change Victor's mind.

Claire noted that once upon a time, Victor liked Kyle. Adam said that once Victor saw you as an enemy you couldn't go back. Claire noted that Victor wasn't in favor of Chelsea at one point, but he appears to be now. "Tomorrow, he could change his mind because that's who the man is," noted Adam, adding that Victor had disowned him many times. Adam said he'd make a deal with Claire and Kyle on the apartment.

"We'd like to see it in person first," Kyle said. Adam offered to show it to them immediately, so they agreed to go. Claire suggested she and Adam talk later about Adam championing Kyle and Claire as a couple to Victor.

Adam responded to Claire wanting him to help her "poke the bear," which would happen if he supported them in Victor's presence. Adam quipped he kind of liked having all ten of his fingers right now. Adam complimented Claire on having the nerve to go up against Victor. He encouraged her and Kyle to fight the good fight but to keep her expectations low.

At Society, Tessa welcomed Sharon back home. Tessa asked Sharon if she was avoiding her when Sharon appeared elusive. Tessa asked her mother-in-law what was going on.

At a table, Tessa told Sharon that Mariah was holding back from her. She theorized that she'd done something wrong to Mariah, which has alienated the two. Sharon stated that Tessa had done nothing wrong. Tessa wondered how Sharon could be so sure of that. Tessa felt that her asking Mariah to give Ian a chance was the reason there was some conflict between her and Mariah. Sharon promised Tessa that Mariah had said nothing specific.

Daniel joined the two women and revealed to Sharon that Tessa was teaching him how to play the guitar. After Sharon left, Tessa asked Daniel if he sensed Sharon wanted to get away from her. Daniel suggested it was probably him. Tessa said Daniel didn't have to pay him for the guitar lessons. They left for the park to have a guitar session.

In the park, Tessa quizzed Daniel on some chords. "How about them apples?" Daniel asked after performing them well. Tessa revealed he earned a gold star. Daniel asked her what was going on. "Your eyes, they just look sad," Daniel told his teacher.

Tessa deflected from opening up about her problems. Daniel said that the teacher/student relationship worked both ways. He pointed out he'd feel better about taking up all of Tessa's time if she shared with him what was going on. Tessa said that Mariah was hiding something from her, and she was afraid it was something bad.

Jack surprised Diane with a nice spread in the Abbott dining room. He lavished praise on his wife for her efforts with the redo of the mansion. "I am sorry for ever questioning your vision," Jack said to Diane.

Jack confessed that Mrs. Martinez helped him arrange the flowers that he picked for Diane. He apologized for not trusting his wife over the changes to the house. Diane shot back that he had nothing to apologize for as this was his family home. She hoped that Ashley and Traci liked the house. Diane revealed that Billy wasn't happy about the changes.

"He doesn't even live here," Jack pointed out. Diane said that Billy felt John was erased from the home. Jack countered that his late dad was filling every corner of the house, and he always would. Jack asked why Diane was only telling him now. Diane replied that she didn't know if Billy was unhappy with the house or with her.

Diane shared it would have been silly for her to expect everyone to love the house. Jack told his wife that he sent photos of the new house to Ashley and Traci, and they love the changes. The Jabot exec added that Kyle and Harrison love the new house, too. Jack pointed out that Billy was an outlier. His reaction is not a reflection on Diane. She theorized that if someone else had made the choices, then Billy might not have had the same reaction.

Jack suggested Billy felt connected to the old house because he spent the least amount of time there. Diane wondered if Billy felt that she shoved him aside. Jack wanted Diane to give Billy time to evolve. He saw that Billy hurt Diane but he wasn't sure why Billy's opinion meant so much to her. Jack asked what was truly going on.

Diane revealed she didn't want to "feel" like family. She wanted to be family and automatically included in things like Kyle is. Diane said she never had what Jack and his siblings had. Diane tearfully pointed out that she named Kyle after her late father to somehow rewrite history with her own family. Diane marveled at what the Abbotts had. "It's so rare," she said. Jack embraced Diane. He told her she deserved unconditional love from her family and so much more.

Claire and Kyle dropped by to tell Jack and Diane that they'd seen Adam's place. They're excited about the move. Claire said that she and Kyle aren't moving in together for sure until they talk to Harrison. Jack asked Kyle if he had told Summer about him and Claire moving in together. Kyle shared that he told Summer he'd wait till she gets back from Europe. Jack announced he had to leave for the office. He and Kyle exited.

Alone with Claire, Diane asked her if she was sure about the move with Kyle. Claire told Diane she loved Kyle, and she did want this new adventure with him. Diane agreed that Victor was a concern. Claire wasn't sure how she could have her own life with Victor questioning her decisions. Diane wished she had better advice for Claire. She encouraged her not to make this move unless she was ready.
