On the Friday, November 7th episode of The Young and the Restless, Claire returned to Genoa City, Holden warned Audra, and Cane gave Victor the offer of a lifetime.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Lily encountered Cane at the Athletic Club, and she asked to join him at his table. She was glad to run into him because she planned to call him. Cane wondered if it was about the kids and if they had come around to him and were any closer to forgiveness. He apologized for putting her on the spot and asked her to forget about his inquiries. Lily believed that the kids missed their father, but it wasn't enough to overlook the pain he caused them. Maddie and Charlie felt betrayed, and the Newman Media exposé created further distance.
Lily requested an update on the theft of the program, but he didn't have any updates. That didn't work for Lily, and she needed confirmation that Cane was actively working toward preventing any damage from the program. He wasn't sure who had the software, and although Victor and Phyllis were his prime suspects, he put his money on Victor. She questioned how he'd prevent any damage if either of them had the software, but his team had been unable to remotely destroy it. Lily was furious that he built such dangerous software without maintaining the ability to control it.
Lily knew the first thing Victor would do with the software was to go after Jack and Jabot. She tried to get him to understand how he'd be blamed for any attack on the Abbotts' company, but he wanted to make things right. He had lost everything at this point, and all he wanted was to repair his relationships. Lily felt that the program's disappearance was convenient timing, given that he was on the verge of destroying it for her. She called his actions irresponsible, and Phyllis's involvement made things more volatile. Lily was concerned that her company would be a target of the AI program with wildcards like Victor and Phyllis at the helm.
Lily never believed Phyllis was aligned with Cane because of her inclination to fend for herself. He didn't think it mattered who had it because it needed to be stopped regardless. Cane wanted to protect everyone, but he didn't want to spill any secrets yet. Cane didn't want to disappoint her, so he wanted to hold off on any plans that he couldn't follow through with. Lily felt like going up against Victor was a recipe for failure, but he already felt like a failure. Every move attached to his Aristotle Dumas persona has wreaked havoc on his life. Cane admitted that he would be blamed for the destruction caused by the program, and he could only stop that if he found a way to destroy the program. Cane told Lily that he had a deal for Victor, which he believed was his best chance to stop him.
Jack and Diane reviewed the fourth-quarter projections for Jabot Cosmetics, and things appeared to exceed expectations for the holiday season. Jack thought it was ridiculous to be worried about the company's fate because they were thriving more than ever. Diane reminded Jack that the threat was out there, and the anticipation unnerved her. They found it difficult to get excited about any of their company's successes because of Victor's looming shadow of doom.
However, Jack caught Diane off guard by claiming there was a positive attribute of Victor. She asked if he had one, and Jack replied, "Victor is nothing if not patient. He likes no strategy more than lying in wait for the perfect moment to strike, catching his opponent off guard... like a snake in the grass." The longer Victor took to strike against Jabot, the more nervous Jack became. The waiting game was creating a frenzy inside of Jack, but Diane wondered if Victor might be bluffing. Diane was concerned that they were afraid for nothing and that Cane still had possession of the program and was fooling everyone. They needed to account for both Cane and Victor as potential perpetrators of the attack.
They hoped Kyle could work things out with Claire, but Jack was concerned about Kyle's approach to the situation. However, he recognized that the Abbotts weren't patient people, so Kyle chasing after Claire was fine for the time being,
At the Newman ranch, Adam joined Victor to check in for an update on Noah. Victor revealed that Noah had woken up, had his bandages removed, and was on his way to a full recovery. Adam thought it was terrific news, and Victor said it was good news for everyone. The Newman social media report for the expose on Cane's completely tanked his public perception. Adam asked what his next step was regarding the AI program and plans to cripple Jabot.
Victor held off on pursuing Jabot because Cane had warned the Abbotts that he had the program. Once Jack stormed the ranch and expected him to attack, he preferred to lie in wait and strike at the most inopportune time. When he decided to make his move, he needed Adam to concoct a creative distraction. Adam probed Victor about why he seemed somewhat hands-off with the attack on Jabot, which Victor played off as trusting Adam with the details. He had faith that Adam would pull through for the company and do what needed to be done. Victor believed Adam was hesitant to target Jack because of their personal friendship. Still, to Victor's satisfaction, Adam understood that business was business.
Adam didn't want every detail, but he was confused how Victor could use the program to his advantage without a full-scale attack. Unfortunately for Adam, Victor had no intention of revealing any of his plans for Cane or Jack. Cane showed up at the ranch, and this time, he offered Victor a deal to hold off on attacking Jack with the AI program. Caner proposed that he give Victor one billion dollars in exchange for the destruction of the program. He was willing to hold up his end of the bargain, but a timely text from Amanda stopped everything in its tracks.
Kyle stopped by Crimson Lights before his flight to Los Angeles, but on his way out the door, he ran into Claire, who had just returned to town. Before he could say too much, Holden quickly emerged by her side. He thought she was still in California, but she arrived quickly because Victoria offered the Newman jet. Holden said Claire allowed him to tag along, but Kyle didn't want to speak in his presence. He asked if they could find somewhere private to discuss the state of their relationship.
Claire told Kyle it wasn't the right time for the type of deep conversation he was seeking. She was jet-lagged and had a million excuses for why she couldn't make time for him. However, Kyle asked if Claire could at least stop by the Abbott Mansion to spend time with Harrison. Claire couldn't pass up the chance to see Harrison, so she agreed to meet him in 30 minutes. Kyle didn't want to take any chances, so he encouraged her to come right away, rather than wait. Claire apologized to Holden for leaving him in the lurch, but when he tried to make later plans, she gave him the runaround as well.
Claire wondered why Kyle wasn't at the office, but he claimed it was because of Harrison. Holden looked on as they walked away and flashed back to making love to Claire in the Los Angeles hotel room. Harrison was ecstatic to see Claire, and it was clear how deep the bond between them ran. He filled her in on all of his Halloween festivities and his newfound love of hockey. Harrison was proud of the bruise he got from saving a goal, but Kyle and Claire locked eyes the entire time.
Kyle and Claire had a moment alone after Harrison left the room, and he tried not to read into the state of her relationship with Holden. Kyle asked if Claire and Holden had become a couple. Claire wanted to leave Holden out of the equation, but Kyle hated to see Holden in the picture. He was concerned about Holden's impact on her, but he sensed Claire having doubts about him.
Holden caught up with Audra at the GCAC, and he implored her to steer clear of Claire. He was glad he ran into her because spending time with Claire led to an unexpected purging of long-buried secrets. Holden told Audra, "While I was in LA, I came clean with Claire about our past." She wondered what he told Claire and how much of it directly related to her. Holden eased her and said he didn't tell her the full details of their past. He told Audra he didn't need to give her a heads-up, but she felt like all he did was give Claire ammunition against her.
