On the Thursday, October 30th episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor enlisted Michael to dig up dirt on Sienna, Kyle returned to Genoa City, Billy requested Phyllis' help, and Jack faced off against Victor about his inevitable attack
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Kyle returned to the Abbott Mansion after an eventful Los Angeles trip. He was excited to take Harrison trick-or-treating and participate in his surprise tandem costume. However, Jack informed Kyle that he'd have to leave the Halloween festivities to the nanny because he was needed elsewhere. Jack and Diane apologized for interrupting his time with Claire in LA, but Kyle could see the fear in their eyes. Kyle assumed their tension had something to do with Cane and his AI program, but Jack said it was a much worse threat, it was Victor.
Kyle couldn't imagine how Victor seized control of the AI program, and he wondered who could've helped him obtain it. The Abbotts boosted their cybersecurity, and Diane pitched a theory that Cane's AI program was all talk and no bite. They brainstormed ways to field any leaks about the true danger they may have been in. Jack latched on to Diane's idea that the entire program was nothing more than a bluff. He wondered why someone as confident as Victor hadn't launched an attack, so he left to preemptively confront him.
Diane expressed sorrow for forcing Kyle to cut his trip short, and he let it slip about Noah's accident. He explained the extent of Noah's injuries, and Diane couldn't even imagine how distraught they must be. She was shocked Allie hadn't called her grandfather to tell him about the accident. Kyle just wanted to convince Claire he was a good person, and Diane believed they'd find their way back to each other. He wanted time to fix the broken pieces, and he was tired of people getting in the way.
Diane asked who Kyle was referring to when he discussed people getting in the way of his reconciliation with Claire. As much as Kyle wanted to go back in time, he knew he needed to give Claire space. However, Holden remained in the picture. He knew something was off about him, but Claire was smitten with his charm. Diane wondered if they were romantically involved at all. Kyle didn't think so, but he wanted to squash it before it happened. He needed to open her eyes to the type of man Holden actually was.
Kyle apologized for being out of town when Jabot needed him most, but they didn't blame him. Jack believed Cane was genuinely thrown off by the program being stolen, but Kyle didn't think they'd be able to fend off an attack. He asked how they could stop it and destroy it before it brought Jabot completely to its knees. They asked what unfinished business he had in Los Angeles, and even though things got better, his situation with Claire remained unresolved. Diane urged Kyle to back off of the crusade to uncover dirt against Holden because of how Claire would react. If Holden was as bad as Kyle viewed him, he needed to let her see it for herself. Kyle shook off her warning, promising to fight with everything he had to illuminate her about his sordid past.
Victor spotted Phyllis at the GCAC, but he got a phone call from Nikki who called from Noah's hospital. He wanted to remain updated about his grandson's well-being, and he also wanted to stay apprised on Nick's interrogation of Sienna. He promised Nikki that Halloween would be better the following year, and he set his sights on his new business partner. He asked her if the transfer of the AI program had been accomplished, and she was ready for him to make good on his part of the deal. She wanted control of Jabot, and Victor was the only man who could make that a reality.
Phyllis asked for an update on Noah, but sadly, Victor didn't have much positive news to share. He requested she keep word of Noah's accident to herself, and he switched the topic to ask about her sleeping habits. Before they could continue, Billy approached the table, and asked, "What are you two doing? Just catching up or discussing serious business matters?" Victor asked why Billy was wandering over to their table, but he was ready to take on The Mustache. Victor brought up Billy's kids to subdue his rival, and they were quickly joined by Michael. Victor wanted Billy to make a quick exit, but he planted his feet into the ground and stayed with Phyllis. Victor and Michael left for their own table, and Billy joined Phyllis, ready to do battle against a potential new foe.
Billy wanted information about the context of Phyllis and Victor's conversation, but she initially played coy. She played off his concerns and revealed the details of Noah's accident to Billy in an effort to throw him off the scent. Billy thought the accident sounded brutal, and he promised to reach out to Nick and Sharon. He was gutted to hear that Noah was placed in a medically induced coma, but Billy wasn't sold. She asked him to keep the news of Noah's injuries to himself, and he was confused about why.
Phyllis thought the conversation was over, but Billy got comfortable and chose to stay for breakfast. She wanted Billy to leave the table and requested not to have a breakfast companion. Phyllis called Billy disloyal and untrustworthy and a narcissist and didn't want to spend any time with him. Billy asked her to put aside the past, so she asked what his latest venture was. He discussed the relaunch of Abbott Communications, and she assumed Sally was running the show this time. She figured with Billy second-in-command, the company had the chance to succeed.
Billy downplayed Phyllis' future, but she professed a lot of prospects for herself. He asked her to look him in the eye and promise she wasn't working with Victor. She laughed at his allegation because of her contentious past with Victor. He asked where she heard it from, and he admitted Cane revealed it himself. Phyllis maintained that she and Cane were closer than ever, and their bond couldn't be broken. Billy wanted to keep the focus on Cane, and he discussed the theft of the software, and he asked her if she had any idea who could've been behind it.
Billy found himself similar to Phyllis, so he understood her motivations. She suffered numerous personal and professional setbacks lately, and he knew she felt cornered. Billy knew Phyllis was the only person who possessed the tools to procure the AI program, but she denied his allegations. She didn't want to keep explaining herself to Billy and feigned insult. Billy chose to take her word, even if all signs pointed to her being a snake in the grass. He shifted gears and asked Phyllis for her help.
She was insulted that he would want her help on anything after unceremoniously kicking her out of Abbott Communications. He felt like it was in Phyllis' best interest to hear him out, and she agreed to hear his pitch. Billy wanted Phyllis to use her unmatched hacking skills to protect Jabot from Victor's onslaught. He asked her to name her price.
Michael was perplexed about Victor, Phyllis, and Billy chatting together, but Victor referred to Billy as an uninvited guest. Despite Michael's inquiries, Victor declined to give any information about the nature of his conversation with Phyllis. The subject switched to Noah's accident and the potential of foul play being involved. Michael was confused why anyone would want to harm Noah, and asked if anyone had emerged as a prime suspect.
Victor wanted Michael to look into the details of the accident, but Michael had an unusual reaction. He was caught off guard because he thought Victor wanted to speak to him on a baseline friendship level, but instead, he was interested in using Michael to do his dirty work.
Victor scoffed at the notion that he used Michael as a lackey. He didn't appreciate Michael's thought process because of the money he's paid him over the years. Victor professed how high he held Michael, and he needed him to help with Noah's accident and get his hands on the police report. Michael requested the name of the detective on the case, but Victor wasn't sure. He also wanted Michael to dig into Sienna and get a clearer picture about her relationship with Noah.
Michael agreed to consider Victor's latest offer, but he wasn't ready to make a commitment. He cited his recent marital woes with Lauren as one of the many reasons why working for Victor was risky business. Victor asked Michael to do it for Noah instead of him. Michael's hesitance bewildered Victor because he didn't understand why he'd put their past ahead of helping Noah. He ultimately agreed to help with Noah's current predicament, but he had no desire to settle back into his old position. Victor condescendingly agreed that that's all there was to it.
Michael asked if the news was true that Victor had possession of Cane's AI program. Victor confirmed that to be the case, and Michael wanted plausible deniability, so he waved away any further inquiries. Michael assumed Victor's first target would be Jack, which he happily confirmed. He demanded to know why Victor wanted to do this, but it all came back to the night Jack spent in the hotel room with a drunken Nikki. The war ignited that night more intense than ever before, and Victor vowed that he'd pay for what he did.
Michael warned Victor that it could blow up in his face, and although it was a risky move, Victor was willing to take the risk. Victor asserted that nobody would talk him out of taking down Jack Abbott and wanted confirmation he was on his side. Michael was morally conflicted, but Victor saw things in black and white. Michael was either on his side or he wasn't, no in between. Victor requested Michael withhold this from Lauren if he was worried about it impacting their marriage. While Michael was uncertain if he'd agree to work for Victor, he would come clean to Lauren ahead of time. He promised to think about the job offer, but with Noah, he'd be on board with that sooner.
At the ranch, Victor allowed Jack into his home, and asked why he stopped by. Jack vowed, "You're not going to get away with this, Victor." Jack revealed he knew Victor had Cane's AI software and warned him he was in for the battle of a lifetime. Jack said, "I am sick and tired of your constant efforts to undermine me and my family. It's gonna stop, now. You wanna come after me, you bring your best stuff. This is a hill I am willing to die on." Victor welcomed the challenge.
