The Young and the Restless' Redding Munsell has double the reasons to celebrate

On The Young and the Restless, Harrison Abbott lights up the screen with his big smile, exuberant personality, and overwhelming charm. And today, the actor who portrays him is giving us double the reasons to celebrate him: it’s Redding Munsell’s 10th birthday!

Last April, Redding Munsell joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in a recast of the role of Harrison Abbott. As Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) son, Harrison is a key member of the Abbott household and a refreshing scene stealer who has had many ups and downs this year. His parents ended their custody battle amicably (eventually), and he had another person he was fond of join his family circle, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). Harrison is visiting his mom, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) in Europe this month, leaving Munsell plenty of time to celebrate his birthday before his character returns to Genoa City.

“AUGUST is the best!” Munsell raved on his Instagram account. He noted that it was his birthday month, and that it would be “even more epic” this year thanks to a special event that was happening on August 16th.

But Munsell isn’t just celebrating any birthday today — he is officially in the double digits! The now ten-year-old has had an exciting month leading up to his birthday: Last weekend, he attended his first-ever Y&R fan event.

As promised to his followers on Instagram, Munsell shared photos of him meeting fans with his costars. “Such a special event I will always remember! My first Y&R fan event! So grateful for our incredible Y&R family and the best fans in the whole world!! So grateful to share in all these memories, this day meant so much to me!” he captioned the photos and videos of him signing his autograph, dancing, doing one of the things he does best: smiling!

“Grateful for my incredible Y&R family and sharing the most amazing experiences! Thank you Y&R fans, your kindness and support means the world to me!” Munsell wrote to his fans on Instagram last week. We are certainly grateful to him as well — thanks Redding Munsell for lighting up our screens!
