On The Young and the Restless, Lily has gone from not liking Damian and being highly suspicious of the man to kissing him and then leaping into bed with him. This is too much for some fans.

What’s going on with Lily on The Young and the Restless

The winds can change swiftly on The Young and the Restless, sometimes at a reckless pace — but Lily’s turnabout seems to be happening too fast for fans. Only a week or two ago, it seems that Lily (Christel Khalil) was using Victor to gather information on Damian (Jermaine Rivers). Granted, Victor’s intel was deemed as untruthful, but Lily asked for the info because she didn't trust Damian. In fact, she didn't even like him as a person.

Lily had cautioned her cousin, Nate (Sean Dominic), about Damian and said that he must be up to no good. Lily even questioned Damian directly, assuming that, because he worked for Aristotle Dumas, he must know what he was up to and why he was after Winters, as Victor (Eric Braeden) had said.

Damian genuinely liked Lily, but he just couldn't get past her guard and the predisposed opinions that Lily had formed. That is, until today. While they were all in the south of France, Aristotle was revealed to be Lily’s ex, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), and Cane wants her back. Suddenly, Lily decided to be romantically interested in Damian. And in a display of affection that no one believed, Lily kissed Damian as if she were being forced to at gunpoint. But the madness didn't stop there; that stiff-as-a-board kiss had Lily saying, “It's always been you, Damian,” and then she took him back to her sleeping carriage. Whoa Nelly – just like that, Lily is bedding Damian? The fans and viewers are discussing their feelings on this on the Soap Central Message Boards.

Board user Runythroat1 wrote, “All that I can say is that Cane better get those cranky people back to Genoa City, and somehow separate Damien and Lilly.”

Good Kitty added, “Lily may want to hurt Cane but instead she’ll hurt Damien. I hope Damien can figure it out and tell she’s acting like she’s really not into it.”

Valued Contributor CloverLeaf wrote, “They looked awkward. I'd say too fast. She was just starting to accept him. She threw herself into a kiss with him just to spite Cane, and now, 6 hrs later, she's inviting him into her bed. I about choked when Lily said she was going to do what she wants to do, no holding back, from now on. Since when hasnt she done whatever the hell she wanted? They just make this stuff up and it's all malarkey. I half expected Lily to tell Damian that she was wide awake now and she's going to pack her bag and walk down the hill to town in the morning. He, of course, would agree to do the same and the 2 of them would leave together. Instead we got more drivel, complaining about being there, complaining about Cane, and complaining about the weather. Give it a rest! This whole Nice, France, thing is a bust as far as Im concerned. Nothing has happened in weeks.”

More importantly, what's happened to Damian?

So we are in agreement that Lily taking Damian to bed after a kiss is moving way too fast, and it appears that she has some ulterior motives. But my question is, what happened to Damian on The Young and the Restless? When we first met him, Damian was rugged and had a strong character. He seemed as fierce as a Rottweiler, and that was part of the charm of this mysterious man who had just shown up. Now we're getting this other version of Damian; he’s running around all starry-eyed, yes Lily, no Lily, two bags full, Lily. From Rottweiler to lapdog in two weeks. Not that there is anything wrong with a male who is in touch with his feelings, but this Damian is not the same one who managed several companies for a reclusive billionaire and appeared to be capable of handling himself. Lily is just so hostile, all the time, to everyone; it’s hard to see why Damian is attracted to that — maybe he has a game of his own? One can hope.
