The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, December 12, 2025, have Phyllis pushing Cane's buttons, Nate confiding in Lily, and Nick taking matters into his own hands in order to protect Sharon.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Cane's (Billy Flynn) relationship has to be one of the most complex dynamics in Genoa City. She's swearing up and down that she didn't steal his AI program (but she did), and yet, he continues to keep her around. However, Cane recently did offer Phyllis the opportunity to come clean.

On Friday's show, watch for Phyllis to push Cane's buttons. She certainly does seem to be in the driver's seat. What might Phyllis do to stay that way, pushing Cane's buttons in the promise? She could fess up and admit what she had done, and then, she could recant the confession, professing her innocence. Phyllis lies better than anyone. How long will Cane let her get away with this?

On Friday's show, watch for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to confide in Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), his cousin. Recently, Nate's gotten back in with the Newmans via his friendship with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Nate and Victor (Eric Braeden) mended fences, and it appears that any animosity has been put in the past. Could Nate confide in Lily something he's learned about the Newmans? Or something about Cane?

Lily has been sympathetic towards Cane. Will any potential information that Nate shares with Lily make her feel more or less compassionate towards her ex-husband?

Nick to the rescue

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) would be within his rights to feel that he and Sharon (Sharon Case) are a magnet for danger! Nick nearly lost his life in France earlier this year at Cane's chateau. He surely hasn't forgotten about the physical threats his family faced from Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), Ian Ward (Ray Wise), and Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Nick knows that Matt (Roger Howarth), who is still on the loose, could be the most dangerous of them all!

On Friday's show, watch for Nick to take matters into his own hands to protect Sharon. Does this mean he's going to move back into the house that he and Sharon shared as a family for many years? Will the potential threat indirectly lead to a romantic Shick reunion? Stay tuned to find out!
