The Young and the Restless Spoilers, June 6: Mariah is troubled by her past

What happens on The Young and the Restless

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has more than Newman Media and Victor's (Eric Braeden) vendetta against him to worry about on Y&R. He has two women in his life who are at odds with one another. On Friday's show, watch for Billy to struggle as he tries to keep the peace between Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

Granted, Phyllis and her former foe Sharon (Sharon Case) have called a truce. They have a new understanding. Alas, Phyllis has made no such deal with Sally. The animosity may have increased on Phyllis's part since Sally has gone to work with Billy. The man has his work cut out for him to keep the peace between these two strong-willed redheads.

Secrets and lies

We know that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is deeply troubled by something that happened on her last trip out of town. She's confided in Sharon that something happened that she feels that she dares not share with her wife, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).

Watch for Mariah to continue to be troubled by her past on Friday's show. Confession is good for the soul, some say. Perhaps Mariah will open up to Tessa and clear the air. The couple has survived a lot. They might be able to get past whatever happened.

A mother's love

We saw just how much Vicki (Amelia Heinle) loved her mother when she toasted Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at her birthday gala earlier this week. On Friday's show, watch for the two women to show just how close they are once more when Vicki reaches out to Nikki.

What could be going on with Victoria that she needs her mom's support? It very well could have something to do with Cole (J. Eddie Peck), Victor's ex-husband and current beau.

We saw Cole take ill at Nikki's gala birthday party. He got some rest that night in his room at the Genoa City Athletic Club but the next day he woke up feeling worse. Nikki's not a doctor, but she is a wonderful source of support to her daughter. She may have words of wisdom that can benefit Cole.
