Michael (Christian LeBlanc) made his wife Lauren (Tracey Bregman) very happy when he told her he had decided to break free from Victor (Eric Braeden). Lauren's never displayed any psychic ability, but she has likely accurately predicted that Victor is not going to take Michael's news well.

On Friday's episode, watch for Victor to deliver a dire warning to his attorney. We can only speculate that Victor is not going to take kindly to Michael wanting to part ways. Victor demands loyalty from his family, friends, and employees. He's got a plan to take down Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Victor needs Michael to make that happen. How will Michael respond to Victor's dire warning? He's a resourceful guy, but he's going to need one heck of a backup plan to counter Victor's wrath.

How to survive a marriage

Lauren's going to worry about her marriage on Friday's episode. How can she not? The department store heiress was happy when Michael surprised her with a romantic night at the jazz lounge at the Genoa City Athletic Club. She was even happier when Michael announced he was going to extricate himself from Victor.

However, it didn't take long for Lauren to speculate that Victor would not take this well. She's known Victor for a long time. There's a reason she wanted Michael to get away from this man. What will be the cost to Michael and Lauren's marriage over his decision to get away from the controlling mogul?

A mother's love

Diane (Susan Walters) feels very appreciated by her husband Jack in light of the romantic evening they spent. Jack praised his wife for her efforts regarding the redo of the Abbott mansion. He assured her that she'd done a great job and that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) would enjoy seeing the family home in person.

However, not all is perfect in Diane's world. Watch for her to worry about her son Kyle's (Michael Mealor) decision-making. We know that Kyle thinks he can handle Audra (Zuleyka Silver), but can he? The man is not made of stone. He banters with Audra about their business rivalry nearly every time they run into each other. Diane may think that Kyle would be wise to distance himself from his stunning rival.
