Next week on The Young and the Restless, Newman Communications may have done the hit piece on Cane (Billy Flynn) and Billy (Jason Thompson), but the fallout is wide-reaching.

At the bar at Society, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) meets Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). As Daniel tries to make conversation, Holden gets suspicious with his questions. Nathan asks if Daniel is trying to dig up dirt on him. While Daniel tries to protest his innocence, Holden asks if Cane put Daniel up to it.

Speaking of Cane, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t take the news that he had teamed up with Billy at face value. She had told Adam (Mark Grossman) that she needed proof that Billy was working with Cane against the Newmans before she would agree to a hit piece on him. When Adam told her that Billy had basically admitted it to him and Nick, that was enough proof for the article to be published. However, Chelsea has questions — and suspicions.

When Chelsa runs into Billy and Sally (Courtney Hope) at the jazz club, she does some research. Billy answers her questions, prompting Chelsea to wonder, “If Sally’s leading your new company, where does that leave you?” Billy responds to Chelsea by telling her confidently, “I do have exciting news of my own. And I will enlighten you very soon.”

Meanwhile, Claire (Hayley Erin) has had enough of Audra’s (Zuleyka Silver) antics and interference in her relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor). She had almost told Nate (Sean Dominic) the truth about Audra trying to seduce and kissing Kyle, and that she had been working with Victor (Eric Braeden) but Nate was on his way out of town for Damian’s funeral.

Once Nate is back, however, that’s a whole other story. “What’s this about?” Nate asks when Audra wants to talk. “It’s Audra. There’s something you need to know about the person she really is,” Claire tells him.
