What to expect on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Victor (Eric Braeden) is still determined to befriend Cane (Billy Flynn) as a means to find out what he’s up to, but being a friend of a foe isn’t Victor’s strong suit. Neither is hiding his true feelings. But one thing Victor cannot do well is let anyone mistake their placement. So, given the chance to sit across from Cane on his train, Victor tries to goad Cane into a reaction.

It’s no longer a secret that Cane bought up all the commercial property he could in downtown Genoa City, but Victor used it as a way to provoke his newest frenemy. “Seems to have been your father’s last great swindle,” Victor says with a snicker before accusing Cane of gaining his fortune and the buying of properties was all a result of “dirty money.”

Speaking of Victor, now that he has given his blessing to Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin), does he mean it? He gave Kyle some room to do himself in, and maybe with the heat off of him, that’s exactly what’s about to happen. Claire took matters into her own hands with Audra’s (Zuleyka Silver) meddling by telling Nate (Sean Dominic) that she had struck a deal with Victor to seduce Kyle, but she might be missing some information.

Everyone in Nice saw Kyle be a willing participant to Audra’s flirtations. Whether or not he was playing her, things did to (too) far in his train car in France. Next week, Claire wants to know what exactly went down. Will Kyle tell her the truth — and if so, how will she react?

Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) is one of many people who want to know what Cane has planned for the future, and what he’s really been doing for the last six years, although her reasons may be more personal. She knows that Holden (Nathan Owens) is working for Cane now, but does he know anything that will shed some light on her questions?
