At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Victor (Eric Braeden) discuss Aristotle Dumas. Audra is talking about the exclusive invitations that have gone out to a select group of Genoa City residents — and Audra has gotten herself in as well. “It is incumbent on you to convince Kyle Abbott to go on this trip,” Victor instructs Audra. She seems unaware that Holden is listening…but these days, isn’t he always? Holden looks serious as he eavesdrops about the party in Nice, France. Is he wondering how he can be part of it, or is he already? Or does Holden figure out that Audra is working with Victor to split up Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin)? He could use that information against her with Nate (Sean Dominic), or to his advantage with Claire.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) walks in and sees a couple at the counter ordering coffee with their backs to him. “Do I gotta be on some sort of VIP list to find out my favorite rock star’s in town?” he asks loudly as he walks in. Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Danny (Michael Damian) turn around, smiling broadly.

In the park, a distraught Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is trying to explain to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) why she has been so upset lately. Ever since Mariah came back from her business trip, she hasn’t been herself, and Tessa has felt like Mariah has been pushing her away. Tessa tries to convince Mariah to share what is going on so she can help her, but it’s starting to feel like whatever it is, it’s so bad that it could threaten their relationship. Once again, Tessa assures Mariah that she is there for her and that she can tell her anything. When Tessa reminds Mariah that she is her safe place, Mariah stuns her by disagreeing. “There is nothing safe about telling you what I did. There is nothing safe at all,” Mariah cries to her wife.
