The Young and the Restless spoilers, October 5: Nick confronts his mortal enemy

Nick (Joshua Morrow) connected the dots quickly between his son Noah's (Lucas Adams) accident and the return of Matt Clark (AKA Mitch) in Los Angeles. As veteran Y&R viewers recall, Matt is Nick's oldest and greatest enemy. He not only raped Sharon (Sharon Case), but he played a role in Matt going to prison for his going to jail.

On Wednesday's show, watch for Nick to confront his mortal enemy. The two men might come to physical blows like they did at Crimson Lights coffee shop when they were teens. Mitch (AKA Matt, played by Roger Howarth) played dumb when Sharon accused him of being Matt. Will Mitch do the same, preventing Nick for taking the action that he probably wants to?

Fortunately, Nick and Sharon have family in Los Angeles to help support them through Noah's ordeal. On Wednesday's show, watch for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to be suspicious about Noah's accident. Nick and Sharon might simply be too close to the situation to think objectively. Having Victoria, who also loves Noah, on the scene brings a fresh perspective to the situation. Vicki is quite resourceful. If she needs to take action to look into Noah's accident, then she'll take it! Fortunately, Vicki's not alone in L.A. Her mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), is with her and can hopefully lend support should Victoria decide to take action.

Suddenly Sienna

Sienna (Tamara Braun) was being duplicitous with Nick when she told him that Mitch wasn't around at The Shadow Room. Right after Nick left, Mitch (AKA Matt) appeared. Sienna had covered for her man. On Wednesday's show, watch for Sienna to cover her own tracks.

Does this mean she'll have to lie about how long she's known Mitch or what she may or may not know about his past as Matt Clark? Sienna is a no-nonsense woman who appears to be very loyal to the people she cares about. If Sienna needs to lie to keep Mitch -- and herself -- safe, then that's what she just might do!
