Next week on The Young and the Restless, Holden’s (Nathan Owens) is still overly interested in his own flame, Audra (Zuleyka Silver). Wherever she is, Holden doesn’t seem to be too far away — and usually within listening distance. Next week, Holden eavesdrops on Victor (Eric Braeden) and Audra’s conversation at the GCAC. He overhears them talking about Aristotle and his invitations for everyone to come to his summer home in France. Oddly, Holden hears Victor instruct Audra to ensure that Kyle (Michael Mealor) gets on the plane. Why would Victor tell Audra that it’s her responsibility to control Kyle’s actions? Holden wants more information, but it sounds like the answers will be in France. Damian got a ticket — will Holden, too?

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been visibly shaken up since she returned from her business trip. All she could get out to Sharon (Sharon Case) was that she drank too much and did something horrible — something Ian Ward (Ray Wise) would have been proud of, but something that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) would never understand or forgive. Sharon assumed that Mariah had a one-night stand but apparently it was worse than that. Mariah finally had a flashback to a mystery man (Michael Swan) approaching her while she was drinking. Who is he, and what happened? Next week, Mariah still can’t bring herself to admit to Tessa what she did on her business trip.

Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) has been touring the world with his band, and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) has been with him. We’ve seen them a few times in Genoa City in the last year, coming home when Daniel was up on charges for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder, and comforting him at New Year’s. Daniel’s still grieving but he’s in a better place than he was back then. Won’t Danny be surprised that his son has found a way to cope — through music. Maybe a little bit of Danny is in his son, and in that way, he’s been helping from afar.
