The Young and the Restless' summer of secrets, sex, and spoilers

All aboard! The Young and the Restless has taken the private train of Aristotle Dumas to the French Riviera. And while some hope to take off in business ventures with the billionaire, other relationships are derailed. It’s going to be a hot summer, and things are starting to heat up this week on Y&R.

Summertime in the French Riviera on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, the Aristotle Dumas estate has turned into a summer-long stay that none of the guests asked for, and most of them don’t want. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) seems like one of the few who are enjoying almost every moment so far, and sees it as an opportunity to spend time with Cane (Billy Flynn) and at the very least, get herself a job.

As for Billy (Jason Thompson), he might be in the best position to get what he wants. We speculated last year that the one person Billy needed to return to Genoa City was Cane, and we stand behind it to this day. Billy needs someone with the motivation and the means to be a formidable opponent to Victor (Eric Braeden), and an ally to Billy. Billy and Cane could each be the foe he doesn’t want, but together, they could be the winning team Victor never saw coming. The only problems with the scenario are trust — and Sally (Courtney Hope). She wants Billy to drop all the intrigue, go back to Genoa City, and launch the company she quit her career to be part of. Will Billy have to trade in Sally for a shot at getting back Chancellor?

Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) are dancing around a hot fire of temptation. And both of them think they have the upper hand, but all we see are two people who are dangerously close to slipping up and losing their relationships back home. Even with the watching eyes of Diane (Susan Walters) and Damian (Jermaine Rivers), Kyle and Audra spend a lot of time together in their bathing suits…and things are steaming up. Will they resist the temptation to hook up? They both seem to be kidding themselves that the sexual tension won’t derail their business plans.

Silver teased that there would be some drinking, and Audra would end up having a little more fun than she was supposed to have. As Michael Mealor said, “No cell service: Spicy, summer seduction. What happens in Nice, stays in Nice.”

As for the Newmans, Victor can pretend that he knew Dumas was Cane all along, but if he did, he’d know what Cane wanted. It seems like all the Newmans can do at this point is settle in and watch — until Adam shows up with news about Dumas.
