In a couple of weeks, The Young and the Restless characters will gather with family and friends to celebrate Christmas. Do you ever think about which characters you would like to spend Christmas with, if they were real people?
Here are three Y&R characters we would invite to Christmas dinner:
Audra Charles on The Young and the Restless

Audra has had a rough year on The Young and the Restless. Undoubtedly, it was her own fault, due to the unwise deal she made with Victor (Eric Braeden) to break up Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin).
But still, no one wants to spend the holidays alone. Christmas is a time for people to come together, share some joy, and a good meal. Audra doesn't have any friends right now, except for Sally (Courtney Hope) and Amy (Valarie Pettiford). Sally will probably spend Christmas at the Abbott mansion with Billy (Jason Thompson) and the other Abbotts. Amy will most likely spend it with the Winters family. That leaves Audra out in the cold.
She could use some holiday cheer with people who just want to enjoy her company and not judge her. Besides, Audra would most certainly be a fun dinner companion. It's never a dull moment when she's around!
Cane Ashby

Cane (Billy Flynn) is another outsider in Genoa City right now on The Young and the Restless. He probably won't have anyone to spend Christmas with either, since Lily (Christel Khalil) hasn't quite forgiven him yet and neither have his children, Charlie and Mattie.
Some Y&R fans would like Audra and Cane to become better acquainted with each other. After all, Audra is drawn to power, and Cane amassed a huge fortune under the identity of Aristotle Dumas. So, it would interesting to see what would transpire if Audra and Cane shared Christmas dinner together. His business association with Phyllis has fizzled out, since they don't trust each other and she's grown bored with their alliance.
If things don't work out for Audra at Abbott Communications, maybe she could partner up with Cane? Even though Victor is destroying Arabesque with the AI program, Cane might be able to start over again and rebuild his fortune somehow -- and a smart cookie like Audra might be able to help him. We know how ambitious and determined she is. If nothing else, their interactions might make for some interesting conversation at the dinner table.
Holden Novak

Holden (Nathan Owens) doesn't have any family ties or close friends to spend Christmas with (other than Claire, who still doesn't entirely trust him). So, this could be a Christmas dinner for The Young and the Restless outcasts of Genoa City! Holden exudes charm wherever he goes, so he would be a cool guest to invite for a holiday get-together.
Holden could touch base with Cane at dinner and ask him where Arabesque stands. We haven't seen many interactions between Holden and Cane, even though Holden works for him, so a holiday dinner would be a prime opportunity for them to connect in person.
Imagine how fun it would be to watch Audra and Holden argue under their breath about their L.A. secret and how Claire can't find out about it? It feels like the Y&R writers should make more use of the onscreen chemistry between Audra and Holden. Could they become the next hot couple on Y&R? Stay tuned. The new year will bring us the answer!
