Who would have guessed that The Young and the Restless' Tessa and Sienna knew each other from L.A.? That was the big discovery we made on Tuesday's episode of Y&R. But when Sienna started talking about Noah and her involvement with him, why didn't Tessa mention that she herself had a relationship with him years ago?
Tessa and Sienna on The Young and the Restless

On Tuesday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) were shocked when they came face to face with each other at Sharon's (Sharon Case) front door. It turns out that they knew each other from L.A., from both the nightclub scene and the music scene.
First of all, it was a little odd that Sienna recognized Tessa so quickly, considering that she looks very different from when she first appeared in Genoa City in 2017. She had dark hair then. Recently, she's been sporting blonde locks. Apparently, though, that didn't keep Sienna from figuring out right away who this person from her past was.
Then, the subject of Noah (Lucas Adams) came up. Sienna told Tessa that she's involved with Noah and that it's "complicated." But when she asked Tessa whether she knew Noah and how she knew him, Tessa had a mysterious (and somewhat uneasy) smile on her face. She replied that she's Noah's sister-in-law and married to Noah's half-sister, Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Why didn't she mention that she herself had a relationship with him years ago? By keeping quiet, it felt like Tessa was trying to hide something.
The revolving door of Noahs

Heck, there have been so many actors who have portrayed Noah over the years on The Young and the Restless that it's almost dizzying enough to make our heads spin. But Robert Adamson was the actor who played Noah when Tessa was first dating him. She ended up breaking his heart, as she found herself falling for Mariah, and nothing was the same ever since.
Noah was angry and heartbroken at first. But eventually, he told Tessa that when you love someone, you want them to be happy. He loves his sister, Mariah, so he finally found a way to let go and move on with his life.
The soulful portrayal of Rory Gibson as Noah

Even though we've enjoyed all the different versions of Noah over the years, we're just going to come right out and say this. There was something raw, gut-wrenching, and soulful about Rory Gibson's portrayal of a young man suffering through the pain of heartbreak. We felt like we were right there with him. When he played Noah between 2021 and 2023, his looks and acting style were reminiscent of the late River Phoenix. And let's face it, not many young actors in the 1980s could hold a candle to River. No wonder Gibson has been garnering so much praise for his virtuoso performance as Michael Corinthos on General Hospital.
So, when Lucas Adams' Noah came home on Tuesday's episode of The Young and the Restless and saw Tessa standing in the living room, it threw him for a loop. Even though he has long accepted Tessa's and Mariah's relationship, does he still have lingering feelings for Tessa? Perhaps we will find out in the upcoming weeks.
The way Tessa looked back at him, we wonder whether she still felt awkward (and maybe even a little guilty) that she hurt him so badly all those years ago. Maybe that's why she hadn't mentioned to Sienna that she herself was once involved with Noah. Just as Sienna remarked that her relationship with Noah is "complicated," Tessa most likely feels the same way about her own past relationship with him. So, it feels like there's a lot to unpack here. It will be interesting to see what Noah and Tessa have to say to each other when we see them engage in a private conversation in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned, Y&R fans!
