The Young and the Restless: Will Sally give Adam hell for the attack on Jabot during the Abbott Communications launch?

Now that The Young and the Restless' Adam and Victor published the hit piece on Jabot on the very night that Sally and Billy launched Abbott Communications, how will Sally react the next time she runs into her ex-boyfriend, Adam? Will she rake him over the coals for putting Abbott Communications in a precarious position?

Adam's (Mark Grossman) latest hit piece on The Young and the Restless has sent shock waves through the entire Abbott family. The moment everyone's phone pinged at the Abbott Communications launch party, it signaled impending doomsday for the Abbotts.

After Michael (Christian LeBlanc) told Victor (Eric Braeden) that Jabot had been shut down online, Victor realized he couldn't use the AI program to destroy Jabot. So, he decided to put Plan B into action. He ordered Adam to utilize Newman Media to publish a hit piece on Jabot's shutdown, making it appear that it was going out of business. What's worse is that Adam and Victor made the attack during the launch party for Abbott Communications, which was a big night for Billy (Jason Thompson) and Adam's ex, Sally (Courtney Hope).

We really want Billy and Sally to score a win. It was bad enough that Cane (Billy Flynn) cancelled the first launch party. Thankfully, this second launch party was a success. But Abbott Communications may suffer from the repercussions of the hit piece. Didn't Adam care at all how his actions would affect Sally? He used to love her, and he still cares about her, even though they aren't a couple anymore. Will she give him a piece of her mind the next time she sees him? We certainly hope she does. He deserves it.

Y&R fans have become disgusted that Adam allows himself to be Victor's puppet, carrying out every one of Victor's dirty schemes, even if it hurts Jack (with whom Adam is friends). Lily (Christel Khalil) phrased it best at the launch party when she said to Cane, "No wonder Adam hurried out of here. Victor's henchman had work to do." Thank you, Lily! Those two sentences said it all. Will Adam ever grow a spine and stand up to his father? Will he ever draw the line with Victor and tell him there are certain boundaries he will not cross? We hope so, because we want to see the stronger version of Adam emerge, not the one who caves to his father's demands.

We know Adam hates Billy, but he used to be very much in love with Sally. Heck, he was even involved in a love triangle with his own brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Sally at one point. Both Newman brothers loved and pursued Sally, even though Victor disliked her. We all know how controlling Victor is when it comes to his children's love lives. But neither Nick nor Adam let that stop them from following their heart where Sally was concerned. They engaged in a tug-of-war for her heart, and in the end, Adam won out.

Adam and Sally even struggled through the heartbreak of losing a newborn daughter. They went through a lot together as a couple on The Young and the Restless. How could Adam disregard all of that and go along with Victor's order to publish that hit piece right on the very night that Abbott Communications launched? He has always admired Sally's business skills, and he's always wanted her to be successful. So, in all good conscience, how could he put her new company in jeopardy?

Adam's indifference toward Sally might make more sense if she had been the reason why their relationship ended. But she wasn't. He was the one and only reason. He cheated on her with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and then he continued to lie about it. His perpetual dishonesty broke Sally's heart, prompting her to end their relationship.

Adam knows it's his fault that things went sour for him and Sally on The Young and the Restless, so it's not like he's trying to get revenge on her now because she did something horrible to him. Adam has always wanted the best for Sally. Unfortunately, he's letting his misguided loyalty toward Victor cloud his better judgment, and now Sally and Jack have both been hurt by his hit piece on Jabot.

So, it would be wonderful if we could get some upcoming scenes where Sally lets loose on Adam and tells him off. Some of her best traits are her honesty, directness, and outspokenness. She isn't afraid to set people straight when they do something wrong. We need to see her inner fire come out. Let's see her remind Adam what they once meant to each other. She needs to tell him that his allegiance to his controlling father has put the future of her career at risk. That would hit Adam where it hurts. He needs that wake-up call, and he needs to get it from Sally. He caused her enough pain when they were a couple. Why is he continuing to bring more pain into her life?
