We've had a number of storylines on The Young and the Restless that have been ongoing for weeks, and some even months. It would be great if we could see them get resolved by the end of 2025.
Here are just three Y&R storylines we would like to see some closure for by the end of the year:
The secret between Holden and Audra on The Young and the Restless

Holden (Nathan Owens) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) have been keeping the L.A. secret for almost a year now on The Young and the Restless. He told Claire (Hayley Erin) that Audra stole a half-million dollars from the drunken gallery owner who came into The Shadow Room with her, and that she gave Holden a percentage of the money (a hundred thousand dollars) to keep him quiet about it. But later, we learned that was only part of what happened. He told Audra that he kept the whole truth from Claire so she would stop asking him about it.
So, as much as Holden seems to like Claire, he does not want her to know what really happened. That much is clear, which makes us suspect that this secret is much worse than he has Claire thinking it is. Did he and Audra kill the gallery owner? That's what some Y&R fans are wondering.
All we know is that this storyline has been dragged out for almost a year. It needs to get resolved ASAP. We would also like to see the repercussions of how this secret will affect Audra's friendship with Sally (Courtney Hope) and her chances of ever working for Abbott Communications. Plus, will Claire end her friendship with Holden when she finds out the whole secret?
Cane needs to find proof that Phyllis stole his AI program

Cane (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) have gone from business associates to lovers on The Young and the Restless, but what will Cane do if or when he ever finds out that she stole his AI program? He already suspects her, but he hasn't been able to find any proof yet. Could this be the reason why he's sleeping with her now? Is it his way of trying to seduce her into fessing up to him? That isn't going to be easy, because, after all, this is Phyllis we're talking about. She's too clever to let down her guard and divulge a big secret like that, not for any man.
But it sure would be wonderful if Cane could figure it out on his own by the end of the year. What would be even better is if he figures out that she's the AI thief and he doesn't tell her that he figured it out. Then, he could turn the tables on her somehow. Whatever happens, the storyline needs to come to a head. The longer Cane isn't able to find proof that Phyllis stole the AI program, the more incompetent it makes him look as a billionaire business titan. Come on now! Victor (Eric Braeden) would have figured it out by now! Why not the famous Aristotle Dumas, too?
Matt Clark needs to get his comeuppance

Thankfully, it looks like we're going to make some headway with the Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) storyline on The Young and the Restless, now that we saw in last week's previews that Victor heads to L.A. this week and confronts Matt. Once The Great Victor Newman is on the case, we know some progress will be made, so we can breathe a sigh of relief.
Somehow, Matt needs to pay for locking up Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) in that abandoned building and for leading Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) on a wild goose chase to find them. It's bad enough that Nick and Sharon went through the agony of seeing their son in a coma and worrying for his life. On top of that, they still don't know who caused Noah's car crash. It was most likely Matt, who is now putting his own wife Sienna's life in danger and Noah's again -- all because Sienna cheated on him with Noah.
It's time for Matt to pay for all the hurt he's caused Sharon, Nick, and now Noah. It's almost twenty-five years overdue. Let's hope Victor has a plan in mind to defeat Matt -- for good this time. And let's hope it happens by the end of 2025.
