We had it all, just like Bogie and Bacall: Two Scoops for The Young and the Restless the week of November 10

The drama on The Young and the Restless heated up as Matt's presence in Los Angeles grew more threatening, and Noah's dalliance with Sienna became known to his parents, Nick and Sharon!

What happened on The Young and the Restless

While much of the drama shifted back to Genoa City, the heavy action was taking place in Los Angeles. For starters, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) got wind of Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) being intimate. He spied the two kissing when Noah was still in the hospital room. (Isn't that just what every guy wants? To have his dad walk in on him and the woman he's kissing?)

The dialogue that followed between Nick and his son was simply terrific in terms of realism. Nick still sees Noah as a boy, but Noah's an adult, fully capable of making his own decisions. Perhaps, Nick would normally understand that, but Noah's making out with the wife of Nick and Sharon's mortal (or maybe immortal, given his return from the dead) villain, Matt Clark (played by Roger Howarth)!

We're stumped as to whether or not it's a shock seeing Noah and Sienna together because she's Matt's wife, or maybe it's because we're used to seeing Adams and Braun as son (Tripp) and mother (Ava) on Days of our Lives.

This isn't the first time actors have taken on different dynamics with co-stars once they go to another soap. DAYS' Wally Kurth (Justin) and Jane Elliot (Anjelica) were lovers in Salem, but on GH, they play, respectively, Ned and Tracy, who are mother and son.

In your face, disgrace

Watching Sharon rip into Matt Clark was pure joy. When Sharon was Martin's (Christopher Cousins) prisoner, along with Phyllis, she was fairly powerless. Now, Sharon is firing on all cylinders, as she screamed at Matt at The Shadow Room. She told Matt that the "stone cold" look that he had on his face used to work on her, but no more. Not since he went after one of her children! She warned Matt that he needed to be afraid of her! Hey, Matt, why don't you do a Web search of "Cameron Kirsten" (Linden Ashby) if you doubt Sharon's words?

Three's company

How many times will Mariah (Camryn Grimes) push away Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), either to her face or indirectly? For months, Mariah could barely share the most minimal details about her ordeal, the one that prompted her to walk out on her marriage. Once again, Tessa feels defeated. She's leaning on Daniel (Michael Graziaide), which isn't really fair to him on numerous levels. For starters, he's a rebound guy.

Tessa shouldn't even consider moving on to a relationship with him until she's fully separated from Mariah, legally and emotionally. Plus, Tessa and Mariah are one of the few same-sex relationships on soaps. Their loyal fanbase isn't going to welcome a romantic foil into the lives of either Tessa or Mariah. Daniel's been through so much. We'd like to see his heart not get broken again.

Daniel's either going to be the bad guy or get his heart broken. Or both. Can Heather (Vail Bloom) be brought back to life the same way Matt Clark did the Lazarus bit? Maybe villains Ian (Ray Wise) and Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) are holding her hostage somewhere?

The last laid plans of Cane and men

Cane (Billy Flynn) may have regretted ever sending out those invitations that invited the power players of Genoa City, including Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), to his chateau in Nice, France, using his alias as Aristotle Dumas. If he truly wanted to re-win Lily's (Christel Khalil) heart and the affections of his children, Mattie and Charlie (Lexie Steveson and Noah Alexander Gerry), he could have taken another approach. Instead of being mysterious and trying to take down all the bigwigs in town, Cane could have shown up with money and taken the philanthropic route. He could have used his wealth to help make his children's dreams come true.

He should have at least coughed up $49.99 for some anti-virus software so that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) couldn't have stolen his Artificial Intelligence software and given it to Victor. In turn, Victor wouldn't have been able to use the program to attack Cane's billion-dollar company.

Cane's kind of like Wile E. Coyote. He buys all these ACME projects (the AI software) and plans to use them on Jabot Cosmetics, Newman Enterprises, Chancellor Industries, and Esther's tip jar at Crimson Lights. Instead, Victor has now used it on Cane. This has made Lily have even more contempt for her ex. How can she take him back when he's so careless with such a powerful weapon?

Adam (Mark Grossman) reminded us that he's most like Victor in that he took unmitigated glee in rubbing Cane's face in his latest setback. He's the Road Runner right now to Cane's Wile E. Coyote.

Seduce me tonight

Cane's not giving up, however. He and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) are playing the ultimate cat-and-mouse game. She's flirting with him big time, and he's responding. But we get the impression Cane is only giving Phyllis the time of day because of the stolen AI program. How could he possibly ever trust someone who has been so untrustworthy? Maybe they'll just have a fling? Cane needs a win. He needs an ally on his side. Someone who will love him unconditionally. Let's face it -- he needs Lily.

Audra, audacity

How can Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) of all people block Audra's (Zuleyka Silver) rise in the business world? Jill of all people should be able to relate to the scrappy have-not who everyone (well, we certainly are!) is rooting for!

The last thing Abbott Communications needs is another delay, and Sally having to scramble to either hire someone else or replace Audra is only going to delay things. Just out of curiosity: what kind of business is Abbott Communications? Is it a news organization? A publicity firm? What employees does it have? Sally and Billy, and even Audra can't do all the work. Who do Sally and Billy have working for them? How are all these employees, who have to put their lives on hold when Billy and Sally delay the launch, making ends meet?

The next time Jill comes back to Genoa City (and that can't be soon enough!), it'd be nice to see her interact with Audra and get to really know her. Audra needs a mentor if she's going to truly make her mark among the power players. Like Jill, Audra didn't come from privilege.

The Wedding Planner

Soaps need a little light-hearted humor to go along with all the heavy drama, so it was a treat to see Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) visit with Danny (Michael Damian) and Cricket (Lauralee Bell). As we've seen before, Pietro thinks big (to say the least!) when it comes to planning a special day for his clients. Fortunately, Danny and Cricket were able to bring him back down to earth a bit!

Cheers to Billy!

Sally was impressed that Billy had cut back on booze as he continued to get his act together. Billy said that he wanted to help Sally help her pursue her dreams. Don't you mean our dreams, Sally asked. "It's me and you, kid. Starting tonight, we're going to make it happen." Good. Sally's been pulling more than 50% of the load in this coupling for a while. It's nice to see Billy get his act together. He deserves a win. Sally deserves a guy who will fight for her, too.
