The Young and the Restless previews for next week show Nick and Sharon in a trash-filled area, calling Noah's name. Suddenly, Nick spots something significant on the ground. What does he find, and what led them to this place to begin with?

On Thursday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Nick (Joshua Morrow) found out that Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and his partner, Annie (Catherine Kresge), are working undercover and investigating the Bacalls. They have reason to believe Mitch (Roger Howarth) has been dealing fentanyl, and Noah might have discovered his dirty secret -- and Matt ran him off the road to prevent him from going to the police.

It's a relief that Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case) now have not only one but two cops who are on their side. But in the previews for next week, it shows Nick and Sharon snooping around a remote, debris-filled area and calling out for Noah. Why didn't they bring Burrow and Annie with them?

Did Noah and Sienna manage to escape?

Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) awoke in a storage closet somewhere and assumed they were drugged. Apparently, the trash-filled area Nick and Sharon are near in the previews is the same building. But when Nick calls out Noah's name, no one answers. Did Noah and Sienna manage to find a way out of the storage closet before Nick and Sharon arrived?

Nick spots something on the ground as he calls out for Noah. He asks Sharon to come take a look at it. What did he find? We've seen Sienna wear an assortment of necklaces and rings. Did a piece of Sienna's jewelry fall off when she escaped with Noah? If they did indeed escape?

Why does Matt want Sharon to call Nick?

When Matt stormed into Sharon's hotel room, he insisted that she call Nick and ask him to come to the hotel. He said he needed to talk to both of them, that Noah is running out of time, and there's a way she and Nick can save him. What was all that about? He also said he didn't run Noah off the road, if we can believe that. But if it wasn't him, then who?

When Sharon offered her life in place of Noah's, Matt wasn't interested. "You're not the guilty party," he said. He kept ordering her to call Nick and ask him to come over right away. Why is it urgent that he speak to both Nick and Sharon?

Sharon called Nick, but the call went to voicemail. Matt seems like he's playing games. Maybe whatever caught Nick's eye in the preview was a personal item of Matt's that he left behind to taunt Nick and Sharon with (maybe something that dates back to their high school years together, like his class ring). If it isn't a piece of Sienna's jewelry or Matt's, then what could it be? This storyline is taking a lot of twists and turns, so hopefully, we will get some answers before the Thanksgiving holiday!
