Why Audra Charles needs to become the next Mrs. Newman on The Young and the Restless 

Audra Charles, played by the dynamic Zuleyka Silver, managed to lock lips with Kyle on The Young and the Restless this week to prove she can still get under the Abbott heir's skin. Instead of trying to get back in with Victor this way, we think Ms. Charles needs to look in a new direction — becoming a Newman herself!

Audra's ability to spin setbacks has earned her a degree of respect from Victor (Eric Braeden)! The mogul was impressed when Audra reframed failure in France with Kyle (Michael Mealor) as progress. Victor doesn't hand out compliments lightly.

We continue to see Audra stand up for herself, and it's quite impressive! She told off Jack (Peter Bergman) at Crimson Lights, reminding him that she doesn't get things handed to her the way Kyle does. What might happen if Y&R put Audra on the fast track by having her marry into the wealthy Newman clan?

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are inching closer together because of his recent near-death experience. Nick and Audra haven't had much interaction and don't have much in common, so pairing them isn't probable.

Adam and Audra

Conversely, Audra and Adam (Mark Grossman) have much in common in terms of being underhanded in business. Sure, Adam's back with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), but they're not married. Victor's not happy with Chelsea's efforts to appeal to Adam's moral side.

We could see Victor giving Audra another chance if he asks her to break up Chelsea and Adam. Audra not seducing Kyle in France didn't come from a lack of trying, after all.

Going for the gold

Adam might be Audra's best shot at becoming a Newman because we simply can't imagine Victor with anyone other than Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Then again, the man has been married many times to four other women. We could see Audra trying to snag Victor as a mate to further her ambitious goals, but Victor and Nikki aren't going anywhere. Sure, they had a squabble recently over Kyle and Claire (Hayley Erin), but that's hardly going to send them to divorce court!

We believe Audra truly does care for Nate (Sean Dominic) and Nate's extended family, which includes Amy (Valarie Pettiford). However, we see Audra as a woman who looks out for No. 1. As for how she could become a Newman, well, we'll leave that to Y&R. But we don't put anything past the capable Audra Charles!
