Y&R's November Sweeps ratings up

The Young and the Restless hit the ratings jackpot during the November Sweeps period. The CBS soap remained the most-watched daytime drama, and its viewing audience jumped by nearly half a million viewers.

The Young and the Restless' saw its audience grow by double digits last month. An average of 4.8 million viewers tuned in to see what was happening in Genoa City during November Sweeps, the period that determines how much advertisers are charged to run commercials during episodes of a show. That's up 14% from the 4.35 million that checked in during November 2012.

Y&R was also up in two of the three key demographics groups: Women 18 to 49 (up 8%) and Women 18-34 (up a whopping 40%). In Women 25 to 54, Y&R held steady.

It wasn't just Y&R that saw a ratings bump last month. The entire CBS Daytime lineup saw double-digit increases. The Talk led the pack with a 20% increase, Let's Make A Deal trended upward with an 18% increase, and The Price Is Right was up 12%. For details on The Bold and the Beautiful's ratings, click here.

It should be noted that the 2012 November Sweeps period was impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
