The Young and the Restless is rolling out the red carpet for the arrival of someone from Avery's past. Scott Elrod joins the cast of Y&R this week in the role of Joe Clark -- Avery's ex-husband.
This is the first time Elrod has planted himself in daytime, but the actor previously headlined the ABC primetime series Men In Trees. He also made an appearance in the 2012 Oscar-winning film Argo.
In a commercial teaser that has since been taken offline, CBS teased that the former Men In Trees star is "tall... dark... and restless." Elrod then looked into the camera and remarked, "The fun is just beginning."
Whether Avery finds any "fun" in her ex-husband's arrival in Genoa City remains to be seen, but the "tall, dark, and restless" part seems to check out quite nicely.
Elrod makes his first appearance on October 1.
