Catherine Bach returns to Y&R

Former Daisy Duke turned The Young and the Restless actress Catherine Bach (Anita Lawson) is heading back to Genoa City.

Trouble is a-brewing in the world of The Young and the Restless, and it's going to show up in the form of Chelsea's mom, Anita Lawson.

The seldom-seen character's portrayer, former The Dukes of Hazzard star Catherine Bach, took to social media to tease that she'll soon be returning to the CBS soap for juicy story.

"From Hazzard County [to] Genoa City," she wrote along with a photo that features her Y&R costars Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers). "Gonna be raising hell very soon!!"

From Hazzard County ➡️Genoa city 😉 gonna be raising hell very soon!! #mamasback

It's unclear whether Anita will be dropping in for a single appearance or if she'll be sticking around longer. Either way, plenty of Y&R fans will be glad to see her again - - though the same might not be true for her daughter, Chelsea! The mother/daughter duo has had quite a roller-coaster history, and God only knows what brings Anita back to the fold this time around.

Bach, who's world-famous for her role as The Dukes of Hazzard's Daisy Duke, joined Y&R as Chelsea's fraudster mother in 2012 and has appeared on-again, off-again in a recurring capacity since then. Her most recent non-daytime project was a 2016 TV movie called My Best Friend.
