Former The Young and the Restless star Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Braña) may have a bun in the oven, but pregnancy hasn't seemed to affect the actress's workaholic nature.
The daytime alum has taken on an English adaptation of the Spanish soap opera Grand Hotel, which has officially been picked up by ABC, reports People.
The reboot of the hit series is said to take place at the hotel of the same name in Miami Beach, "where a façade of perfection masks an array of dark secrets among the family that owns it and the staff that runs it."
The original version of Grand Hotel takes place in 1905 Spain and follows a working-class man who is desperately searching for his missing sister and gets a job at the hotel where she worked to investigate her disappearance. As the brother gains allies in his quest, characters' storylines intertwine, and mysteries of the hotel are revealed.
The new version of the series is written by Brian Tanen and is a collaboration between Longoria and Ben Spector's UnveliEVAble Entertainment and ABC Studios.
As previously reported, Longoria and her husband, José "Pepe" Bastón, are expecting a baby boy later this spring/early summer. Meanwhile, she and Y&R's Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith Newman) star together in the upcoming remake of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel's 1980's rom-com Overboard.
