It's official, The Young and the Restless fans: Mishael Morgan has ended her five-year run as Hilary Curtis, and she says her final day was "sooo bittersweet."

Many The Young and the Restless viewers hoped that the CBS soap would somehow find a way to keep Mishael Morgan on the canvas, but alas, her final day as Hilary Curtis has come to a close.

The actress took to social media to share that she taped her final scenes in Genoa City, meaning Hilary's exit from the canvas is right around the corner.

"...and that's a wrap," she wrote on Twitter along with some photos from the set. "Just over five years ago, I tweeted a pic of CBS to announce the start of my journey on Y&R. Now, I have to say good bye. Sooo bittersweet. Thank you to everyone who supported me on my journey. On to the next adventure!"

Y&R viewers were devastated earlier this month when news of Morgan's exit first broke. According to insiders, she and the CBS Daytime series were unable to reach an agreement during contract talks.

Morgan confirmed her exit on June 11, writing that many factors led to her decision to walk away from the show she's called home for five years, most of all that it "just felt right."

Morgan's credits prior to joining Y&R in 2013 include Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds, Republic of Doyle, The Best Years, and Family Biz.
